★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Any good Hainan kopitiam worth its salted butter coffee beans does not need endorsement from a balding HK movie star. Here another lesson learnt in life about the Hainanese hype. Red flags raised when supervisor did not know what was Hainanese fried noodles, the busy item was Nasi Lemak deliveries and the kitchen was manned by Indon/Bangla workers. The Hainanese chicken rice (RM8.50) was served with tasteless kampung chicken raised miserably in a factory farm and boiled rice, so washed out of fragrance that even the soya sauce cried. The accompanying ginger and pinkish chilly sauces were made so watery that you wished you had remembered to bring those remainder KFC sauce sachets. Being located next to the old timers' favourite dim sum place, Wai Kee, does it no favours as the elderly gentry totally avoided this place, while snaring unsuspecting foodies passing by after 10am. Sigh! The perils of waking up late on a lazy Sunday. (Thanks to a Jackie Chan movie my BFF shared online with me last night!)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very cosy and clean coffee shop with air cond. Order free range chicken but the chicken was tasteless. Ask for mee hoon the staff told me don't have mee hoon ask for lime for sambal staff told me no more. Market is just 2mins walking distance and if you finish your ingredients you should stock up before you open for business. Curry taste normal and the so called coffee with bubble tea totally no good. Would not recommend this shop and would not go back for 2nd time.
