There's 2 trail leading to Cape Rachado Lighthouse, a tar road and for those who likes a challenge, there's a hiking trail. If you are lucky, you will see monkeys ? on the way too. The trail is shaded by the big trees and even if you come here in the afternoon it's not hot. The Lighthouse compound is closed to visitors at the moment.

There is a parking space on reaching the entrance of the forest park and also the way heading towards the light house. The way up is a steep and tar path, takes about 20 to 30 minutes to get to the enterance of the light house depending on each individual. We were in shade of trees most of the time going up and there are some covered rest areas for you to take a breath. Certain parts are quite steep so be prepared for it with a good pair of walking shoes. At one point, there is a diversion which you can view the migration birds depending the time of the year. Probably this is a good time now. Not an easy path to take, do take care. On reaching the top, there are some steps to climb up to have a closer look at the light house. But the light house is out of bound and locked. You can go round it to catch a view of the sea, only part of it as there are trees blocking the view. Well on going down, it will be faster and easier to roll down.....hahaha joking only. Enjoy your walk and have a good weekend! { I hope the authorities in charge will look into the rubbish along the route going up to the light house }

Simple hike to the lighthouse. There is a path down to the beach, but we didn't go there because it is getting late. No entry to the lighthouse, but definitely have a good view of the sunset.

Morning always crowded with people. I was fortunate to reach this place around 11 plus in the morning, with less people and I am able to find for a parking space near the entrance. The whole journey walking up to the light house was no people, only left me alone. Enjoying the whole hiking journey without rushing. The most challenging part was going down and returning back up the steep staircase heading to the beach.

Fun and excited. Challenging hiking trail (medium) not suitable for beginners or children if you go for jungle trail. Due to the popularity, Bukit Batu Putih quite crowded on weekend. Water is green and clear without pollution. Walk/hike around the tanjung with a lot of photo taking needs 4 hours, covered around 5km.

Loved the walk up to the lighthouse. It was a good exercise. We met a gentleman who was making his third trip up the hill that morning. Wow! We also managed to spot a couple of birds but couldn't identify them. I almost stepped on a snake too. A tiny multi-hued fella. But we couldn't get into the lighthouse. A friendly man from inside the compound told us we would need to apply in advance to gain admission to the place. It's okay. We skirted the base of the premises and came to several feet from the edge of the hill facing the sea. We didn't spend much time there, but were thrilled to be able to see the water from that elevation. There were a couple of monkeys in trees that grew precariously on that steep side of the hill. They looked absolutely peaceful, unlike us. One thing that disturbed us was some garbage that we found on the way up the road. Whether it was the work of monkeys or their bipedal cousins, we don't know.

Walking to the light house requires around 20 minutes while further walking to the beach will require another 20 minutes to 30 minutes depends on how fast you walk. The cleanliness of the beach is 4 out of 5 stars, the water is clean, just that the beach has a bit of rubbishes (but is still acceptable as compared to other beaches nearby). I would comment the beach as a hidden gem ?. As for the light house, nothing interesting to view.
