★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great place for events. Went there during Kapas-Marang Swimathon in 2011, 2012 and 2018.
Parking is available along the beach road. The place is open area (no shelter) so event organisers have to plan for tents etc.
Majlis Perbandaran usually attends events.
The beach was - in my opinion, not so safe for general public swimming due to South China Sea characteristics i.e. deep and strong waves.
