★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The chicken rice here is juicy and nice. Cha siew can be fatty at time but it’s packs a punch. The kwey tiao soup with the roast chicken is a good combination! The bean sprout is also fresh and crunchy! Worth the price

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The chicken rice used to be good but now it's not been consistent. Sometimes good, sometimes not. The rice can be fluffy on one visit and lumpy on the next. Prices are a bit high too.
Hope the owner can make improvements before it's too late as they were once the winner of the best hainanese chicken rice.

Chicken rice is all about the rice and the restaurant failed terribly in this aspect- not fluffy, fragrant and definitely not nice. ?
The chicken itself (both steamed and roasted) is well cooked while maintaining its tenderness but was COMPLETELY TASTELESS. Don’t get me started on the bean sprouts, only trying sprouting is my disappointment. ?
HELLO, how did this win some chicken rice tournament in 2007, either the judges were sick of tasting chicken and just wanted to get it over and done with or the cooking has declined ??

Overpriced food. Hope they don't forget there are lots of eateries around.
Plus the lady Bos is rude... always shouting out so loud. My son was waiting at the counter to pay , my daughter and I walked out. She shouted at me saying she has not counted and I have not paid...this is how you treat customer?
Plus they don't write down bills and when you ask breakdown she starts shouting out loudly for questioning. We just paid RM12 for a plate of Big taugeh because we didn't want to argue about ordering small plate which cost RM6.
Probably someone needs to tell her to talk politely to customers. Don't embarrass your customers by shouting out at them.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Rice is aromatic but i don't think it's on par with real Hainan chicken rice. Chicken is smooth and tender plus the ginger paste is flavored with spring onion and Abit of salt very good. Would hv given 5 star if the rice is improved to be more savoury.

The steam chicken was good, meat was tender & perfectly cooked. Rice was fluffy but lacked...something. Not much different frm normal white rice.
Bean sprouts were fat and crunchy, served unsalted.
It's a tasty meal and portion is enough to fill the the tummy. Nothing more, nothing less.
