โ โ โ โ โ For starters, discovering Tayba Mart 1 can be said to be by chance. My wife and I planned to get our Medjoul Dates from the Berkat Medina shop which sells all kinds of products and foodstuff from the Middle East.
There were no parking lots available around the area, so I kept on driving, looking for alternative Middle Eastern product shops at the area. We had to drive further and further as all lots were taken. We then spotted a vacant parking lot close to this Tayba Mart.
After parking, we then followed the SOP, scanned the My Sejahtera QR code, and entered. The Tayba Mart store was pleasantly not as congested as what the Berkat Medina store is. We were greeted by a Bangladeshi store worker whom I came to know as Muhammad Rajib.
He spoke good English and I was surprised because most of the other Bangladeshis whom I have met so far spoke only a passable level of English.
We headed straight to the nuts section because we wanted to buy our snacking supplies of Pistachios and Cashew nuts. After buying what we needed, we surveyed the store's supply of the Medjoul dates and saw that they were a bit dry and not as moist as what Berkat Medina had. So, we passed on the dates.
Rajib happens to be a Psychiatry Student dropout. No wonder that he could speak well in English. After checking out our purchases, he gifted us the wholemeal bread which we had purchased.
That was a pleasant surprise. Our local stores seldom do that. So, when our Pistachio and Cashew nuts supplies ran out, we returned, day before yesterday and bought a fresh supply.
This time around, we were served by Ahmad, the Syrian guy. Again, we got a gift in the form of bread. Tayba Mart has got itself a happy customer.

โ โ โ โ โ Quite a small Arab food store with a good variety of items. Not as big/spacious as Berkat Madinah stores. Shop owners were very friendly. Came here (after Asr, before iftar) during Ramadan 1440H to find olives, olive oils, dates, bread, etc. Could easily find a parking space nearby. Loved it. SubhanAllah.
