★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The final resting place for the commonwealth troops and their dependents. The brigade stationed in Terendak Camp comprised of batalions and companies from the UK, Australia and New Zealand. Their presence were to assist the Malaysian army to combat the communist terrorists from taking over the country. Terendak Camp were specially constructed to house the troops and families. There are swimming pools, a military hospital, churches, schools, a NAAFI and allocated furbished quarters according their respective rank . Each year survivors of the various army units who served in Terendak or their dependents would take that long haul flight to Malaysia and visit their friends and relatives that were buried here. And each year the numbers deplete as many of them has since passed or were too old to travel. Many of their remains in the cemetary has since been repatriated back to their respective countries.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My Father served there in the late 50's/early 60's .... my younger brother & I went to the Primary School on Camp, while my older brother, went to Bourne School in KL .... I have some AMAZING memories of our time in Malacca.
