★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I went to Alor Setar for two nights and on 2nd night stay at Art Villa owned by Mr Tan. The house was nice with a lot of artistic decorations. Just located in the middle of housing area and the house is very well design. The ground floor of the house is a Thai restaurant, definitely a good choice to be the dinner location. The Cook come from Thailand. Ordered seafood tomyam for dinner and the taste is satisfyingly marvelous. You need a transport to the villa as it's located in the edge of Alor Setar town but it's not a problem for the local traveller. Just use Waze or Google Maps for navigation. If you're traveling by public transportation, you can request for Uber or Grab here. Took the cheapest room which is at RM 90.00 when i stayed there. Lastly, Mr Tan are very friendly and helpful host.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The house is full of artistic elements. Mr Tan showed us in and told us that he is one of the artist/craftsman of the household. He stayed a long time in Thailand and got his inspirations from there. Rooms were clean and organised. We went on a Saturday when the restaurant downstairs was closed, unfortunate.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ good service by staff and the chinese owner.good halal food ,room very good.Nice environment with beautiful decoration.FYI please let the them know whether you have an old person when make a booking..3 floors house..so they can give ground floor level room but it depend on availability anyway.overall satisfied and recommended

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stayed here one night on the motorbike tour around Kedah. It's an amazing house with great decorations where it is lovely to hang around in the garden of restaurant area. The biggest eye catcher is a King Kong statue which is great for selfies.
The thai food in the restaurant is good.
The rooms are fine with enough space and bathroom.
It's good value, but not many shops around Although there is a gasstation very close where you can buy snacks.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is really nice to stay there coz of the lovely environment besides the bed room is so spacious (1 double size bed), the bathroom is also so spacious and also clean... In the same building it has a restaurant, but they only serve thai food but its owkay coz its good.The manager is the owner himself, he is a really nice and friendly man. Ask him any questions about the town and he will give you the best answer you will ever get. Besides that, the place is really convenient coz it is really near to town...
