Had a great time and Josephine (instructor) gives very informative and detailed lessons during the whole time while doing the art. If you are looking for place to calmly focus alone or with friends it’s a perfect!

It has been a great session with Josephine. Very patient and passionate in teaching us during the one on one session. Perfect place for a good break from work. Definitely worth the money The place practices good SOP too.

Decided to try pottery (handbuilding class) here. Teacher Jo is so kind and patient. The two hours and 30 minutes felt so short! Had a good laugh and experience at The Clay Arts. Would love to come back soon and see Teacher Jo again.

I must say this is the most amazing and enjoyable experience we had. I went there expecting nothing much but I had a blast! My girlfriend is very interesting in pottery and I brought her here during her birthday. The owner was very kind and friendly. She is very patient with me as she have to guide two newbie in pottery. After all that, she gave my girlfriend a bowl because it was her birthday. If you are looking for a good teacher, I suggest you come here to learn. Will definitely come back again! :)

My family and I decided to celebrate my husband's birthday this year at Clay Arts Studio by signing up a Pottery Hand Building workshop. Last year, we did a Pottery Wheel Throwing workshop which we enjoyed so much we decided to repeat the experience again this year but with a different pottery experience. Nina, our friendly instructor, is super patient and helpful. She’s very encouraging and supportive of whatever ideas we wanted to try. As such, we had another memorable experience. Josephine, the owner, is also very proactive; providing us photos taken during our workshop plus checking and confirming how we wanted our pieces glazed. Both Nina and Josephine are approachable and accommodating as they did not mind when we took a little longer than the agreed class time to finish our pieces. Thank you, Josephine and Nina, for a wonderful birthday experience! My hubby was very happy and satisfied with both the experience and his clay piece. And when he’s happy, my kids and I are too. lol Lillian

Took my mom to learn pottery with me today. She loved it very much. At the end of the day, she was very happy with her experience. The teacher was very patient and kind. Even though my mom was very shy to talk, she guided her at her comfort zone. Both teachers were very good at their job. Very professional. The place is very inspiring. Art everywhere. Would definitely come back again soon.

Class: Pottery Hand Building Tip: Cut your nails before you come to class ? Tip: Come with an idea on what you want to make and be prepared to change your plan if faced with any time constraint. Washroom and Hand Basin: Accessible This place fires the made pieces and not elsewhere which is good so the pieces are not transported and will have less risk of being damaged. Apron: Will be given to protect your attires. Clay given: 200gm for practice and 500gm. You can make as many pieces that you could with these within the time given. Of course try not to be greedy and just take your time to do it. I realised it is not about how many pieces you can make or how fast or how pretty you can make it. Well at least not for me that is. Price: RM180 per pax This place is more expensive than what you can find elsewhere but I liked how the class was conducted in a smaller manner which allows the teachers to pay more attention to the students. Education is truly priceless when you have the right teachers. Now more than ever, I am definitely interested in the Wheel Throwing course but will wait for my friend ? I choose this place with a mindset that it was my friend’s first time trying out pottery and it was an activity that we decided to experience together. I was not expecting much and just followed the flow. And as a result, I had a interesting and memorable time with my friend. I am 100% with her around my experience here was better ? Our teacher was Josephine who was friendly and helpful throughout it all. We had laughters, serious mode, struggling mode, and last of all...hopeful that out pieces will turn out well. Josephine had an assistant with her which will help us carry on processing the pieces which we made. Thanks to the both of them that our experience was pleasant. My friend and I will be back again to collect the pieces in 1.5 months time. The pieces that we made will need to go though firing, colouring and etc. We will leave it to the experienced people ??? My advise is to listen to what the experienced people say, I am sure they do not want you to “fail”. I know it can be hard sometimes, but being a perfectionist will not help much. ? I hope you will give this place a try, I don’t have any regrets! By the way this place teaches oil painting too?! I don’t really know much but feel free to check them out if you are interested.
