I used to school in uplands international school of penang, its an Awesome place. They have great teachers. Students are tought to respect one another. I lived in penang for 7 years and out of all the schools I have seen and read about in penang, uplands international school of penang is the best. Dolivia Ezrelline Charles #UPLANDSROAR

UPLANDS has a lack of ommunication between parents and teachers /staff. Parents always feel lost in their kids educational path. When you have an issue with your kids education, it is like hitting a wall of bricks, as some of the teachers and staff are not willing to listen and/or help, or they have no clue on how to help. The average teachers/staff attitude is arrogant and they treat the parents as they are another student, not an adult. It is hard, if not impossible, to get a straight answer. Not a good school.

[Bad] Not passionate teachers. Arrogant students. Not welcoming atmosphere. Racial discrimination. Segregation btwn Asians vs non. No interest in students' academic achievement. [Good] Helpful front staff. Kind principal. Tasty lunch.

Not a welcoming and conducive place for holistic international education - many teachers are simply not interested in your child's progress and were often downright rude and demeaning to Asian parents. Students relations can be very hierarchical and arrogant with bullying, discrimination and unhealthy practices being an open secret. My child and I were happy to have left after one very frustrating year.

As people have pointed out in previous posts, this place is racist. They got rid of streaming in Maths because the top set is all Chinese and Korean. There are much better schools. All my friends are taking their kids out. New place opening near Straits Quay looks much better.

i studied here my whole life and have seen and witnessed great success. Do not listen to the haters. Uplands number one. Send your kids here and they will make success. Also good in sports. Thank you Mr Kerr!
