I am not a Nyonya connoisseur but the food here is really excellent to our palettes. We were pleased with how fresh the fish was in the Jenak Garam Asam. The broth had the wonderful fragrance of bunga kantan and a good balance of saliness and tang of asam. The Lemak Pucuk Paku is not a dish that is offered by many restaurants. The paku remained crunchy and the lemak was not overly powerful but was light and flavorful. The unique taste of Kiam Chye roasted pork soup was also superb as the broth was thick and unlike normal salted vege soup.

Had dinner here the 2nd time cos we quite liked this place the first time we ate here. Had a pretty bad experience the 2nd time. The worst dish was the fried chicken as you can see in the photos they were undercooked and it was all red and bloody inside. I told one of the male staff and he just nodded and said ok without even apologising or anything. The sambal petai prawn was just sautéed with sambal paste but was very bland and not how this dish should taste. Wasn’t done properly. Lastly, they kept coming to the table and wanted to clear out the food when we’re still eating. They did this 2-3 times and I had to say no we’re not done. They seemed so eager to just close. Operation hours are until 9:30 but they gave use the bill and asked to pay at 9:05. This happened the first time we were there too. This kinda situation really makes the dining experience horrible. The poor service was a real turn off in addition to the undercooked food hence the 2 stars that I’m rating them.

We ordered a set menu for six and found it to be value for money. The Kam Cheng vegetable curry and eggplant dua rasa was a hit with my family! The sago dessert was also really delicious, I love the texture and the fact that I can make it less sweet by not mixing it with all the gula melaka sauce. The ambience was good and the restaurant is very clean. We also appreciated how quickly they served food from the kid's menu. Two things that can be improved: 1. Staff and service You need to increase your number of staff or your efficiency, making your customers ask for something several times for one thing is not a sign of good service. We were served a salad, chicken dish, otak-otak and fried tofu but not everyone got their rice until 30 minutes later (Rice is important because flavourful nyonya dishes go especially well with rice!). The same applied to the sago dessert that only came long after we've finished our meal. The staff could be more attentive and clear up the dishes after we're done. 2. Food The chicken could be done better (some parts were bloody inside). The babi pongteh was unfortunately a disappointment (only 10% was lean meat and the rest were just fat, please tell me if that's how the dish is supposed to be?) and the portion of the fried tofu is not justifiable for 6 people (I think each of us only had 1-2 tiny pieces, max). We are looking forward to coming back again so keep up the good work and improve on the rest!

The ambience is good and the food is delicious. Personally recommend paku lemak, this dish is excellent. The drink needs to improve, not enough taste. Overall we are satisfied with the food serve and the dish served is very fast. We only waited for less than 10 minutes for the food to be served.

Nice environment with attentive staffs. Available for reservation and pre-order food. The asam pork is nice and crispy (pricey for the portion tho) Tom yum is rich and nice to eat with rice. Enough for 4 pax. Sago dessert is good, slightly salted with rich coconut milk and gula melaka ? The pai tee and kamcheng salad doesn't taste good. Not much taste for both.

high standard of cooking. very strong flavours and spicy too. most malaysians will like it, but I prefer lighter flavour and less spicy. nonetheless, the flavour is obviously done very well. environment is comfy and service is good. deserving of 5 star. needless to say price is on higher end, around rm60-80 per pax
