β β β β β Really amazing live band, environment and crowd. Don't expect a refined drinking experience tho even if drinking options are adequate.
Also seen people vomiting directly on the floor later at night but staff are quick to place papers on top and take care of it

β β β β β Nice cozy bar in the center of Georgetown. Relax atmosphere. Nice ambience. Cool to sit outside/outdoor. Friendly staff (very persuasive ?). Nett price.

β β β β β You come here for the lights. The food is really terrible. My friend was tipsy and hungry. And thought that the Peri Peri chicken wasn't good. The prawn noodles was bad. Char kuey teow was bad.
Service was good, drinks were mediocre.

Live music is back! Recommended for friends to hangout and enjoy snacks with good cocktails. Tried the Singapore Sling and Popcorn chicken while visiting. Love the live music however it is a tad bit loud so do take note you'll have difficulty conversing with friends.

β β β β β The Pokok most probably hosts the best band in Penang and it rocks! Super crowded every evening as it attracts the party crowd of Georgetown in the chic Chulia Street area.
Simply translated as βThe Treeβ in Malay, with its hint of naturalistic vibe in the midst of chaotic street attracts a fusion of travellers from tourists to backpackers and locals wanting a fresh and a lively spot to chill with draught beers or freshly made cocktails.
A must go destination ??????

β β β β β Nice ambience. Good place just to chill and relax. Life band added an extra star. very good service as well. Really nice cocktails and fresh beer.
Can be a bit crowded on a weekend, maybe once fully occupied they should not allow new entries as it could feel a bit congested.
