The food is good a bit pricey. Typical Chinese restaurant. Somehow I don't like the tables and chairs as they are so ancient and look cheap

Nice Chinese style dishes , feel that the mala spiciness is toned down to Malaysian taste which is good for me. Overall dishes was good. Nice environment too.

Surprisingly good! The food taste was on point. Satisfied with their signature dishes. I personally think this restaurant deserves more attention!

Really tasty food, spicy Szechuan style, some Hunan dishes too. Enjoyed the grilled fish in hot soup. The spare ribs was good, too. So was the spicy cabbage. Very spacious restaurant. Ok service. Price is expensive. Three people for lunch, ordered 4 dishes, was RM250.

I have a newfound favourite Chinese restaurant.. not the local one but the one whipping out awesome Chinese dishes from China. I was supposed to patronise this restaurant during CNY but due to the uncertainties surrounding the deadly virus back in February, we cancelled the plan - that is, until recently when we were looking for places for family dinner. Called them to book for tables and got the entire restaurant for ourselves that evening! Sandwiched in between The Roulette & Iberico Kitchen, this unassuming restaurant gave us one of the most memorable dinner of the year. Most of the dishes wowed us the moment we put into our mouth with distinctive taste.. albeit with some minor issues. Special set menu RM668++ ◾braised abalone and sea cucumber - what they didn't mention was that they included prawns and bursting meatballs... Leaving us only a few pieces of abalone and sea cucumber (costlier items) ◾Signature roast chicken - rightly so because the crispy skin and tender meat with slight smoky taste were so so so good! Plate was cleaned in no time ◾Steamed seabass in soy sauce - we love the soy sauce and there was nothing wrong with the seabass, but we thought that it'd be perfect if it was grouper instead (more firm & flaky texture) ◾Deep fried live tiger prawns with pepper & salt - fresh prawns were used so no complaints at all ◾House special lamb meat - this dish literally for everyone wowed!! Lamb racks were used and it had those beautiful aroma of mala but not overpowering to complement the tender meat. A must order!! ◾Stir fried frog with chilly in Yang Cheng style - if there's one thing that will make you fall in love with mala, this would be it!! I drank the mala sauce like soup.. no kidding! ◾Stir fried pork knuckle with garlic - beautiful flavour of garlic and pepper but the meat was a bit dry. ◾Boiled pork ribs soup with mushroom - another beautiful hit! The look of the yellowish soup could be deceiving as one scoop was all it took to get everyone scrambled for more soup... Sweet, creamy and aromatic! We ordered a second helping. ◾Stir fried Chinese yam with black fungus - not much flavour as it was quite clean taste but the crunchiness of Chinese yam stood out... ◾Hot wok cabbage - the dried shrimp have this last dish a crunchy bite to the vegetable. ◾ glutinous rice pie with sweet sauce - one of the two sweet ending to the evening! The sweet sauce was really something... ◾Purple potato pie - the sweetness of the purple potato was enough without any sauce needed. Extras: ◾House special hand teared lamb meat - in other word, it was pulled lamb rack meat stir fried with plenty of onion, bird eye chilly and Chinese parsley. Be careful of the fiery chilly though. ◾ Shredded pork ear in red oil - love the crunchiness of the thinly sliced pork ear and the flavour from the red oil. ◾Yang Zhou fried rice - classic Chinese fried rice perfected! ◾Special pan mee - soup was flavourful with the savoury from the minced meat... The pan mee was silky smooth. The dinner experience was made perfect with the Tsingtao Beer... Light, fragrant and smooth! The interior was not much to shout of.. but they do display the ancient Chinese musical instrument such as er hu and gu zheng.
