★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Coming back to the market after 30+ years is so memorable. Brings back childhood memories. It's less busy now. But still friendly and close knitted community. Everyone knows everybody. United community. Food prices have gone up which could possibly be driven by tourism. But it's still cheaper than cities. Food sold are food you eat growing up. And sold out fast. Was there at 8ish the banana fritters were sold out. As a child grandma brought us to the market for her morning shopping. With much mist clouding the sky it feels like we have four seasons. And grandma would buy a duckling for us to bring home. We showered that duckling and see it paddle. These memories of life in a kampung is priceless. Anyhow the market is sufficient. Friendly and fresh garden vegetables. Not main stream. Where else can you grocery shop in fresh air.
