★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The traffic jam madness in the island especially around Air Itam route has caused me to divert my planned destination, well this detour has turned my unexpected trip into a fruitful adventure. The island is known for the many Taoist temple spiralling almost every corner and you'll definitely run into one within meters but on hill slopes there aren't many. Popular ones dates back hundred of years. My misguided adventure brought me to this hill slope treasure trove unexpectedly, from what I noticed this place is privately built on, don't know on who's land, have permanent infrastructure, with electrical supply and housed an office, there's a large kitchen and a handful of deities over two separate buildings. I was unable to move to the upper building due to a large group of fierce looking dogs, barking and charging at me on several occasions, luckily I remain still and managed to escape unhurt. Scary but interesting. Getting back to this new found site, if you look at the map there's no road leading to this place in actual fact you can drive all the way up here there's a dirt track from where the road ended. I believed this place existed quite sometime, when snooping around I noticed the praying peripheral seems worn-out though the external surrounding looks well kept but dusty. There was no one around, I enjoyed the fresh cooling air, the calmness and peaceful vicinity. I am coming back to have a look at the upper portion armed with dog food the next time around.
