★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I love stinky tofu but the ones around Klang Valley is not quite up to standard (not stinky at all!) This uncle’s stinky tofu is not very stinky too but it’s better than a lot that I’ve tried in Malaysia. Taiwan still has the best stinky tofu!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ crunchy texture of tofu and spicy chilli sauce was the best! but better come before 1am on weekends or around 12am on weekdays otherwise it's a 2hr queue. uncle very friendly even though extremely good business!

Located at a lorong just beside Thai Moment, walking distance from wangsa maju lrt.
Queue for 30mins on Friday night, 9.30pm. The queue getting longer at 10pm++.
Recommend to go around 9pm to avoid long queue.
Taste juicy, sauce very spicy ?

Food rating is 5 stars, however I won't be coming back here again for the smelly tofu, as the waiting time is 1hour+

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What happens when you see such a long Q for a delicacy? Your thought would be the food must be very good right? I joined in the Q for 1 hour before I could get close to this Uncle who has been diligently selling his famous Stinky Tofu by the road side just in front of Thai Moment Restaurant here in Desa Setapak. Actually here in Setapak there are 2 other sellers who sell Stinky Tofu, but they are no match to this Uncle's skills in making stinky Tofu. Uncle here operates only at night. Believe it or not, Chinese youngsters, ranging from all sizes, (including good looking guys and gals) start to group and wait for this Uncle at this very location even before Uncle comes pushing his motorcycle to start his business. Uncle will normally start business from 8pm onwards till late night. Selling price is RM1.20 per Tofu cut piece (mind you, this is not the whole Tofu size), and Uncle generally sells in 5's or 10's so that he does not need to deal with coins (5's will costs RM 6 as of 11th March 2022). Stinky as it smells but make no mistake, the Tofu's are delicious, crunchy on the outside and juicy in the inside. Served with homemade chilli sauce and cabbage pickles. And the chilli sauce, top of its class when it comes to spicyness. Burns your tongue and lips, but goes so well with the Tofu's. Without it, the dish is incomplete. Get ready a cold yoghurt or cold milk drink if you cant stand spicy sauce. I don't normally indulge in this dish, but once in a while when i crave for the stinky Tofu and it's smell, I'll know where I will be heading... But this time, I'll make an effort to come in much earlier.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tried this smelly tofu here for the first time and the pungent smell swept me momentarily off my feet. Despite the pungent smell, the tofu tasted good being crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside...it somewhat reminded me of those smelly tofu in Taiwan. But the queuing time of 2 hours was super long. I doubt I will ever queue again just to eat it.
