UTC PERAK = Immigration office A Malaysian Citizen walks in with his passport to renew it and the officer outside says this: You Mau Pergi Mana? 1. Not related 2. No right to question such things 3. Inefficient sadly, feel sorry for the non-tech savvy people. 4. If you take an appointment today your turn will come on July, good thing on the 9th of May you can walk in.

The immigration office service is extremely bad. The immigration department front desk staff is so rude even when people ask question nicely. I just arrived and I went to the staff(thought will get number/queue up or something) for assistance and I was being told to visit 8am in the morning another day to get number for me to join the queue. She said they only have limited numbers and she is not sure how many they will release each day. ??? So ridiculous… No estimated number given, and the way she answer us was so impatient and rude, she started to raise her voice even when I asked the first question. That’s so impolite and I really think she need to be sent back for training to assist the public better. ? I’m just curious, why do I need to queue up together with those who didn’t renew online despite I have already renewed and paid for my passport on their website, I thought I only need to go to the office for collection. Please improve your service. Thank you.

For Malaysian passports, you should book ahead and go to Jabatan Imigresen Malaysia (UTC 39) inside UTC. Not in the immigration office at Meru anymore. Apply online and collect it is faster way, but the measurements of your picture must be very accurate. For applying/renewal driving license for foreign people, you should go to JPJ main office.

Bring my mom for passport renewal but there's no more walk in available. All services need to make booking. I should went to their official website and check it out before I go waste my trip there. They only accept bookings. Option 1: renew passport via online, collect after that. Option 2: make a booking date for walk in renewal (I try search immediately it show the next available date it's 5 weeks later). So I choose back the option 1, where I try submit via online. Online renewal it's actually quite fast, only the photos session abit troubles due to the background colour and the pixels. Finally I manage to submit. Hopefully tomorrow I went for collection without any issues. Staffs in front of the door actually quite friendly they try to guide us through the online submission but if we can know early that no walk in available will be better. More announcements need to be done. Provides 2 photos for you all so you can follow the steps.

This place doesn't deserve even a star from me. We renewed our passports online, just like how they wanted it to be, we even paid online on the spot! No emails were received saying that our passports are ready to be picked up. We ended up calling them and they said we can pick them up at 8 am. We came at 8 am, and the queue was ridiculously long! After finished queuing, around 10.30 am, we were given the numbers, and then had to wait for another 4.5 hrs to be called into the office main waiting area. Once our numbers got called in, we had to wait for another 3 hours for our actual numbers to get called. I don't get what's so hard to handover the passports since we did it online and paid at the same time??? LOUSY SERVICE! VERY INEFFICIENT! RUDE EMPLOYEES! And the worst thing is, they only issued passports in one location for the whole Ipoh area, while they have a huge immigration building located in Meru. This place and their services are a joke!

A great one stop center to settle almost all official business. From JPJ to Pos Malaysia, Immigration, water bill, TNB and many more. Went to JPJ and Pos Malaysia. Fast and efficient service. Nice staff. Well maintained place.

Convenient government office to come and pay all of your bills in one shot. Although there are a lot of people, traffic was well organized. COVID-19 protocols and best practices were strictly enforced and adhered to by all. Lots of parking available in nearby neighbourhood streets and walking distance to many great eateries! The bonus of coming to pay bills!
