★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is a quaint old library in the middle of the busy street. We just dropped in to see the collection of books which was huge. As the books were in mandarin and being mandarin illiterate we couldn't understand much about it but the librarian there was kind enough for us to spend time there just skimming through the books. They also have a beautiful courtyard like almost all houses in the jonker Street. It's an old library but very well kept.
Don't let the fact that books are all in mandarin keep you from visiting this place.
It has a very nice atmosphere, it feels like one has time traveled to a couple of decades ago as you walk along the corridors of old dusty books.
