Simple. 60MYR. Just bed and AC. No window, no private bathroom. Thin walls, recommend earplugs. Because of fresh towels 2 stars not one.

Disclaimer: This below is a review I made in Indonesian, on one of online travel app, Edited on 12Feb2020, the English translation, B A D S E R V I C E We had difficulty finding the location of this inn, because there was no signboard installed at the location, but only a piece of paper measuring 2XA4, written in handwriting, and was not clearly visible because it was only posted on the outside of the made-from-iron entrance gate that was always opened. When we arrived at the inn, we immediately met the receptionist who was on the second floor, so we hope that we could immediately check in, enter the room and clean up. But shockingly the receptionist said that all rooms were full. Then we reconfirmed the receptionist if it was really that all rooms were full, because previously we had successfully booked the room online from Tra****ka due to it stated that there were vacant rooms still available at the inn. But again, the receptionist said that rooms was occupied. Upon receiving us, the receptionist did not bother to check any data or information, either manually or online, nor even asked our name, repeatedly simply just said that all rooms were full, then resumed his activities which had been interrupted because of our arrival (ie playing games and watching videos from his cell phone). At the reception desk, there was no computer or any electronic equipment, other than that one smartphone used by the receptionist. We were tired, then we decided to wait and rest first, sat in a long hard wooden box next to the reception desk, used the inn's wifi (that fortunately the username and password were still displayed on a piece of paper attached to the wall next to the entrance), and then contacted Tra****ka so that they can solve the problems that we experienced. But unfortunately we did not get immediate help from Tra****ka, so after trying to wait for an hour, we decided to asked the receptionist if we were allowed to film the incident, the chronology, and a direct statement from the receptionist about the room, so we can submit claims and have full refund from the Tra****ka, and could immediately leave the place. After that the receptionist finally asked for my credentials, went to another room, returned to the reception desk with another smartphone (which have our data on its WhatsApp application), checked my passport, and then finally let us to occupy a room. When we were already inside the room, the Tra****ka (+6032****500) then contacted us, and asked us if the inn was asking for any additional charges, or if there was still anything that they could help with. The room we got was just enough to rest but not good enough, because the provided bedsheets, pillowcases, blankets, and towels were all dirty and musty, and we also did not get the facilities as mentioned upon booking (no private bathroom, no hot & cold drinking water at anywhere in the inn). The next day, odd things happened added our disappointment with the inn. The one (and only) entrance gate of the inn was (maybe accidentally) has been closed off by someone, causing it could not be opened again, because the keyset of the gate was damaged, so that no occupant of the room could enter or exit the inn. The telephone number listed at the gate was also could not be contacted (no one picked it up or it cannot be reached at all), so it took some time and effort from us (me and several other room occupants, and also the neighboring shopkeepers around the inn) to successfully forcibly opened the gate. This place was located not too far just in walking distance from the Padang Besar train station though.

This is by far the worst place where I stayed so far. The staff is extremely rude and does not speak a word of English. The hotel is extremely dirty it stinks awfully and the bed clothes hadn’t be changed in years, judging by the amount of stains. Mostly there was not anyone at the reception and they would refuse to reply to my messages. In the Morning I was woken up by the owner angrily shouting around, according to other guests this happens regularly, after that I took a cold shower, because there is no warm water.. If by any possibility don’t stay at this awful place.

When you book this guest house online you will notice only shared bathroom available. But upon check in, they will offer you a room with bathroom with additional rm35. Only the receptionist will entertain at the counter. Any changes you need to get it from the owner which the receptionist have to text for confirmation.
