★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had an awful experience with this service provider. We rented a 6 seater "Toyota Rush" last week for our trip to Port dickson with 3 families including a kid and a toddler. The car offered to us was pathetic as the aircond did not work mid way and when we contacted the agency, they said when the engine runs, the aircond will function automatically but that was not the case. We still drove to our destination with the malfunction as we had to check in on time and really didn't want to be delayed. During the start of the our journey, this guy from the agency changed battery and assured that there won't be any issues.
While we were driving mid way, the car broke down and we pulled over at the side of the highway and reported the issue immediately, the towing van reached to tow the vehicle after 2 and half hours causing the check in to be delayed by 3 and half hours. The whole day's itinerary was screwed due to this and the problem was not fixed even after reaching the hotel. The agency promised that even before the towing vehicle could reach the hotel, the replacement vehicle will be available at the hotel (a 5 seater instead) but these were fake promises made as this agency were keen to fix the same vehicle and wanted us to use it.
The towing driver analysed the issue and apparently informed the agency that the battery needs to be replaced. By the time these agency could arrange for someone to replace the battery, the time was about 8.30 pm. The service provider again mentioned to us that the issue has been fixed and there won't be any trouble again and even assured that aircond would work properly. Next day after we checked out of the hotel, we started to drive back to KL and the issue with the aircond was still persisting to our surprise. We had drive the car amidst hot temperature outside with 2 children and poor family members.
After reaching KL, I called the agency as I wanted to hand over the car, the person in charge told me that he is in Port dickson and asked me to hand over the vehicle to his staff. This clearly exhibited that he was not interested to face me after all these issues. Even to get the deposit refunded, I had to wait for another 3 days of follow up.
There was no refund of charges that was provided after this bitter experience. Forget about the refund.. There was no formal apology that we have received from 111 Car rental agency for screwing our much needed trip which we planned and worked out after 1 and half years wait in this pandemic. Will never ever approach these people for car rental again in my life. This is my lifetime experience which I wanted to share.
