★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A very old school teochew porridge in Bukit Mertajam for more than 40 year old. As far as I can recall their old shop along Jalan Aston has be demolished to give ways to development many years back. I have never find it again and thought they have close permanently. I accidentally found it this morning through goggle map while checking for some food around this area and I immediately recognize from the photos of the food that being share by others.
They still served good variety of ready cook foods "Teochew" style like those days. It's inexpensive but certainly delicious and satisfying. We had teochew braised duck, 2 braised tofu, fried whitebait, French bean and 2 bowl of porridge. We also had 1 glasse of Ice Chinese tea and herbal tea drinks. Glad to rediscover another old school eatery.
