Tried the famous salted kopi and salted cham, total RM7 for taking away. We got goosebumps as it's really salty on the first sip. The kopi is kaw while the cham has a good balance of tea & kopi aroma. Seriously, the taste is 100% better after all the ice melts, where the sweetness, saltiness and the beans' aroma compliment each other perfectly! It is worth trying, but definitely not something that we will crave for. Also, parking is extremely difficult in this area, hence we take away. A plus point: they accept payment by eWallet which is rare to see in traditional kopitiam.

Finally manage to try their salty cham but have to say it's an acquired taste. The chicken chop and chicken grill are good and tasty.

Imagine having to apply kaya and butter on the toasted bread by yourself. Shopkeeper said it’s to give patrons the control over the sweetness. Most of their patrons are older people so it’s understandable. But for me, I hate the idea of making my own food when I am already paying for it. Environment is very noisy as well. If you’re young and free, don’t come here.

I purposely drove all the way here for their kopi The power of social media ? when I saw the video circulating on the social media - I believed it was Facebook - about this salted Kopi, it intrigued me or should I say it excited me? Haven't tried savoury version of kopi before ma. The other half didn't seem to be as enthusiastic as me, so I went Hans Solo mode one fine day.. driving all the way to Kepong Baru. Typical hawker style restaurant located at one corner, I was seated in no time after doing all the SOPs. I was seated at the back so I can see the boss himself in action. ◾salted Kopi - served in a tall glass where the froth filled the top and flowed down the accompanying small saucer plate below, it was a sight to behold when served. Took a sip and of course it was salty but not THAT salty la. The boss roast the coffee beans with salt to create this type of drink. It took a few sips to get used to it... Somehow I like it. ◾Special curry mee in claypot - tummy was drumming at the same time I so surveyed around to see what's good. Saw this curry mee stall and proceed to have a chat with the owner. He recommended his special claypot curry mee - where he beat the egg to mix with the curry broth under high fire to create the murkiness for the broth. There were cockles, pork skin so everything was good for me! The flavour also ngam me. I will come again when I happen to be in Kepong next time. Reason to come? The salted Kopi definitely... Sometimes it's good to have a change.

Came on a Sunday at about 8.30am. Not crowded and easy to get a table. I like the salted butter coffee and don't find it "jelak" even without the ice cubes. The bread comes with pandan kaya and butter,.nicely toasted. Laksa is my kind of taste with light gravy.

Decent food, however salted drinks might not be for everyone. Do stop by earlier for breakfast if you want to try out the coriander pan mee, as they are sold out by noon. Sidenote: Claypot curry mee looks better than it tastes. As the curry is quite thick, you don't get much "soup" like other places. However the amount of toppings (siew yoke, wanton, fuchok, taupok) is generous for RM10.

The salted coffee is of a unique taste. Coffee is thick & flavorful, however due to its saltiness, the taste is better after food. My advice to the owner is to come out with the salted caramel coffee, ie add caramel. The beef noodle is also one of the best in town

The salted coffee is something different but not everyone will be able to acquire the taste of it. Definitely takes time. Try the Hainanese Chicken Chop, run by an old couple who are very friendly. Personally I find this is the edible one among all the other stalls. Curry noodles was below average, tried better. Try to avoid the morning traffic during Sunday because it is the morning market time.
