Good food with a reasonable price.

The noodle is nice. However, there was a fly in my soup and price is high for rural area. Hence, two stars have been removed.

A very locally prepared pan mee noodle shop in a small town. You can pick up your own Yong Tau Fu to accomplish your dish.

An old school noodle shop, making authentic hakka "cut by knife" noodle. On a good day you can witness how the noodle is made, all by hand with simple tool. It doesn't get more original than this, and seldom seen in this fast moving, profit first society. A precious heritage to preserve, and super yummy noodle. Quite an experience for the tummy and eyes.

Classic hand made pan mee, particularly like the clear soup which doesn't really make you thirsty after drinking it. It has that nice slight sweet leafy vegetable taste. Pan mee texture is slightly tougher but good texture, acceptable. The pieces of dish seems to be homemade as well, has a nice flavour and texture to it, priced at rm 0.90 per piece. Plain Noodles starts at rm 3.60 for big and 3.30 for small. Condiments are sambal belacan and pork and fried onions stuff as shown below in the middle.

Rustic Hakka-style hand cut noodles. Don't come here looking for refined food. The soup based is made with anchovies and is pungent as it is fragrant. The noodles come with a serving of fried lard and loses half its flavor (as well as half the point of eating this in the first place) if you choose to go healthy and not eat the lard. Save your calories elsewhere, just sit and dig in to some real soul food and enjoy.

Satisfying pan mee fix. RM3.60 for a small bowl, RM3.90 for large. Each bowl comes with sambal and add-your-own pork lard/shallot mix, which elevates the entire experience. Each "liu" (add-ons/sides) cost RM1 each and you can choose from meat balls, fish balls, fu zhok etc etc. Only available in soup!

Ban mee was very special. The soup was clear, the kuih was fantastic, not too thick nor to thin. I added extra ingredients and the fish paste and fish ball with almost white colour was star of the day. They were so smooth like taufu and still with fish taste. WOW. 5 stars The special pork lard was fantastic. I liked it so much non stopping adding it. WOW. 5 stars The special herbal drinks in glass bottle also very special and taste so refreshing. 5 stars
