Not up to my expectations which personal feel is ok only. You will taste the black soy sauce.

This Wanton Noodle store is tucked in a quiet corner of Jalan Pahang and Jalan Marican. It has a steady patronage and the crowd comes in and go regularly. I usually order a small portion at RM4 each. The wanton noodle is laced in their home-made dark sauce. The noodle is "springy" (I meant al dente here)! It comes with 2 pieces of dumpling and generous slices of green leaves & char siew. It easily satisfies my hunger pang at anytime. Everytime I pass by this area, I will look out for this store. ?

Classic wan tan mee at an affordable price. Comes in small, medium or large; soup or dry. There's even a sugar cane stall nearby for freshly squeezed sugar cane juice.

Unbeatable price at RM4.20 for an improved Penang style Wantan Mee. It excels in serving a smokey Char Siew accompaniment, quite distinct from the local red dyed barbecue pork and differentiates with a convincing dark soysauce base like the best from Ah Pak on Jalan Sahabat KL. Where the noodles fail dismally is in the absence of a second wash in cold water, to rid it of the excess flour and gluten, rendering the noodle far from al-dente but a slimey wet mess. Fortunately, the soysauce base was tasty enough though not as forgiving. If this young chef learns the extra washing step, he will be a strong contender for the "Best in Penang", then again it maybe his Penang customers' preference for gooey gastronomy that is holding him back. A bitter lesson learnt by Canton-I where springy al-dente HK style wantan noodles cannot wean the locals from their set taste for all things gooey. I guess he will still be stuck here for awhile...

This place is so old school you'll feel like you are going to school ,the taste is still amazing, the noodle are chewy, the wantan are full of meat and the dark sauce are just match made in heaven ,all that for a measly price of RM4.50 ,oh ,don't forget to wash it all down with a nice cold sugar cane water
