My aircond wasn't working for a few weeks so I went to get it checked here.I requested for an estimate but he refused, quoting he needed to check 1st. While checking, he mentioned my headlamps were blurred and he would help me polish (but failed to mention I will be charged). The next day, he came out with a whopping cost list(written on a mini notepad paper) of RM880. All I needed was to replace to condenser so this price was really high. I asked to cancel and he insisted I needed to pay the workmanship (RM160) and the headlamp (RM120). While I understood some payment is required since he did do the checking, RM160 is too much since he didn't do the work that was required (the actual changing of the condenser) or is he telling me there's a separate charge for workmanship after? Also he failed to mention a price and cheated RM120 for headlamp polish.
This is not an honest business and he's out to cheat money from desperate or gullible people. He probably refused to provide an estimate so he can adjust the price to what he wants and force people to pay. He didn't do the job and I still had to pay nearly RM300. If you're smart and you love your car, take it to another workshop. Beware of greedy workshops.
