β β β β β Rediscovered this restaurant when I was on my way to Nexus from Kerinchi LRT. I remembered having a meal here long time ago but it wasn't memorable.
As for this time round, my brother and I had ordered their noodle set meals. Each noodle set came with 3 side dishes and a chicken skewer.
We were quite happy with the food and as compared to other Xin Jiang style restaurant in Klang Valley, this was considered good and reasonably priced.
Overall a good dining experience. Would invite my friends over if we craved for Xin Jiang Chinese cuisine.

β β β β β You must try foods from this restaurant. For sure one of the best foods that I have ever tested in KL. Staff are too polite , nice and well trained. Variety of delicious, amazing , halal foods . Since 2018 I used to order from this restaurant , the quality of their food even became better than before. While a single meal is more than enough for one person , the price is really responsible for this quality of food.

β β β β β I am a regular here. However, lately their service and foods are far from good. Today, I went here for a dinner with my mom. Firstly, not only I was attended rather late. Suddenly the waiter said that he do not understand Malay. Then I spoke English with him. Ironically, he speaks Malay with other customers! Secondly, the food arrived to our table very cold and extremenly salty!! What is this Amber Chinese Muslim Restaurant - Bangsar South???

β β β β β Slow service when I came at 3pm, wasn't busy, u can tell by my photo of the restaurant. I think there was only 2 other tables with people but they were served already. they seem understaff. I liked the food, noodles are good, staff are not so friendly. when I left I said thank u, they didn't say anything back.
They don't sell coffee. only tea, fruit juice, and other nice herbal drinks.
Price is at the mid range and can be slightly above mid range if u order sets or bigger dishes. Environment is okay, their light bulbs are not consistent colours, I assume some of the light bulbs broke and they didn't bother replacing it with the same warm coloured bulbs. Cash and card accepted here.

β β β β β So many things that are wrong in one tomato noodle beef soup comes with set. Beef cube & tomato soup itself are not hot, can tell the cooked beef cube were from the fridge. Set side dishes are chili cabbage which is bland, boiled egg was over cooked as u can see it has become black, lowest quality dumpling, and 2 very bland skewed chicken breast.
They gave an extra bow of light soup with beef cube but the soup is also bland very sure its an instant packaged soup served with rotted coriander. I wont return to this establishment as this is the worst restaurant compare to china restaurants i've been in klang valley.

β β β β β 1. Environment - Bad ventilation, humid.
2. Food - Portions are big and taste is so-so. It's not pure Chinese food though, more like Szechuan style.
3. Service - Bad. Waiters did not look happy to serve us, we only ordered 3 dishes in a group of 4 but it took almost an hour to arrive with constant follow-ups. One of our dishes looked different from the one in the menu when it arrived (refer to photos) and & when we asked for clarifications, both staff and the manager answered us bluntly saying photos are for illustrations only and that the sizzling plate 'rosak'.
4. Price - Ranges from 15.90 for vege dish and RM20+ for tofu, fish, meat etc. Pretty reasonable for sharing.
It was my first time here and unfortunately will be my last.

β β β β β Poor service, bad quality food and unhygienic restaurant. That pretty sums up Amber restaurant. Great recipe for a Hellβs Kitchen episode. Bad recipe for a dining customer for sure, leaving a distasteful feeling after dining in Amber. The booking process was rude and arrogant and filled with lies as the staff called us to confirm our preordered food as they claim tables were fully book that day. But upon arriving at the restaurant, tables wasnβt even up till 70% capacity. Preordered food was communicated but the orders came out to be incorrect after all so time and effort wasted (whatβs the point?). Special beef pulled noodle wasnβt any special at all. Lacking in broth flavor, pathetic beef portion, and overcooked noodles. Roasted duck was thin and skinny like it never got a chance to grow into adolescent, flavor was subpar as well like your typical salt and five spice powder rub. Cold chicken with spicy sauce was confusing as it came out steaming hot. 12 pcs Chinese chives pancakes came up to be 10 pcs which was refunded later. You know service is the worst when you have to correct the orders multiple times, help yourself with cutleries(self service) and try your best to grab the waiters attention like sheβs out of your league. Should I even give a one star review for this restaurant? I donβt think it even deserves one. But Iβll never come back for sure and deter friends from going if they ask for recommendations.

β β β β β Poor service, poor table management, overpriced, not tasty food and RAT!!
Worst, we waited for an hour for our food.
We ordered six dishes, the first two - skewers and dumplings came out first. Half an hour later, the chicken and vegetables came out. And then half an hour later, after many followed up, the tofu and potato beef came out. And to say, we went there at 12pm, to avoid the lunch crowd. The restaurant was pretty empty when we entered. We came out at 1.30pm, only because the last two dishes came out at 1.20pm.
Second worst, the staffs attitude. When we followed up with the waiter, before we could say what dishes have not arrived, they immediately replied - itβs cooking now. That was first twenty minutes after our first order. The manager also replied the same until when we repeatedly, after more than an hour, followed up with our food, did he take this matter seriously.
Third, the portion. For MYR 28 for less than a half chicken (and rock hard), and a few morsels of beef for the potato beef dishes, itβs overpriced. And it wasnβt even tasty.
Fourth, in the restaurant, we saw a rat dropped on a table, where the customer has just finished the food and left.
When we complained about the service, they replied, βoh today itβs a new chef. The other chef is not working today. Usually he donβt take leave but he did today.β
Is it our fault that he is on leave? Itβs okay to justify poor services?
I hope the management would take this post seriously, and get back to us. You need to improve!!!!
