★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Free, do go up to 3rd floor which is the library. Any book you pick to read, maybe one is the book that will touch you. 4th floor for prayers. Free lunch open to public daily except Monday.

Reading your post I'm feeling a little sad about you stating you don't feel good with the 2 caged of birds.
There is a misunderstanding you spotted them at a wrong time.
It's not meant to be caged but to be released at an allocated time on every 1st n 15th of each lunar month.
The caged birds are meant for life release, or fangsheng in Chinese, is the traditional Buddhist practice of this Centre freeing captive birds.
At the allocated time for release, the participants believe that by releasing the birds, they generate spiritual merits.
Original of this practice is to show compassion to caged birds.
Nevertheless, other Buddhist Centre or Temple may practice release of different creatures.
Hope my earnest explanation clear your unpleasantness of what you have seen before the allocated time for release.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This center offering free vegetarian foods from Tuesday to Sunday. I'm not sure how do they teach Buddhism inside there but I personally don't feel good when I spotted 2 cage of birds just outside of their dining hall.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a place for Buddhist religious study , prayer and ancestral prayer. Every year during Vesak Day they will organised a food festival donation drive to collect money to do charity work . You can see the Buddha statue on the 4rd floor. There is a dormitory for ladies on the 2nd floor
