POSITIVE: +Private boxbeds with individual light, socket and curtain. +Nice atmosphere and laid back, engaging staff. +They organise free activities to go out for dinner, bowling, swimming, etc., to get ppl together. +Great location and cleanish overall. +Toilet paper in the toilets at all times +Breakfast is very simple (toasts and bananas) but it's there. NEGATIVE: -WiFi is horrendous. It's slow, it disconnects constantly, or simply doesn't connect. -Water on the second floor (big dorm) showers has almost no pressure, so I ended up using the first floor ones. -Breakfast is 8-10am, however, one morning I planned an early start and went down at 8am, only to stay there waiting until 8.25 before a member of staff decided to show up to get it ready. Not a big deal but slightly annoying.

Major bedbug problem; I wouldn’t recommend. The bugs are so bad they’re crawling around in the daytime. I went to tell staff in case they somehow didn’t know but someone was already complaining about the bedbugs at the desk. The staff told him “we fumigated” and “you can move beds.” Moving beds obviously does nothing when the whole room is infested. I left early in the morning and spent two hours at a laundromat washing and drying everything in high heat. Apart from that issue, it’s more of a party hostel than I thought it’d be, with people yelling and turning on the lights until 2-3am and morning sex coming from some bunk near mine. Not very good for light sleepers. So if they get rid of the pest infestation it would be fine for you if you’re into that sort of thing.

I was here late January. My first impressions weren't very good however because of their understanding with the difficulty we had, I'm giving them a 4 stars. They had just opened recently when I was there. The wall sockets were out, unable to charge my devices but the staff there was really kind to swap my space to a twin bed because the other compartments are full. My travel buddy was able to sleep with me too because his wall socket was out as well. Not to mention as well, I was able to borrow a socket extension which helped charging devices so much easier. A big thank you to Nicole, you've been very helpful. I hope my feedbacks to you improve your hostel better. I'll definitely consider this hostel if I'm on a budget road trip again.

Go for the friendly team and atmosphere! Go for the location! Don't go if you are looking for a 100% clean space, specifically bathrooms. Lockers for valuables are there, but not for bags. Bring your own lock.

Do Not Stay Here. This is a poor hostel, the worst I have stayed at in SE Asia, which is a shame, as it has potential. I’ll start with the good bits. Location, price, comfortable mattresses, breakfast of toast/fruit/boiled eggs provided for free. Bad bits. Hostel is run by volunteering travellers who do not seem to have been trained by the Hostel owner when it comes to anything at all. They are not bad people, they’re just inept. The WiFi is very poor, works sporadically throughout the day and is slow when it works. The bed sheets are too small for the beds, so you wake up sleeping on the mattress in most cases. The dorm areas aren’t the cleanest, dirty tissues tucked down the corner of the beds. I didn’t take a picture of the random underwear strewn around the dorm floor either. On the night that we stayed one of the 2 toilets for our 20 bed dorm was soiled badly all over the floor. Despite many guests raising their concerns to the volunteer staff on reception, nothing was done after 4 hours. When I spoke to the reception staff, I was told that the cleaner doesn’t start until 10am, so they’d leave the toilet in the dire state until that time. This doesn’t seem like it was a one off event. I feel the pictures the Hostel provides of its accommodation are dishonest. The communal area downstairs was nothing more than an old industrial space with a few chairs and board games. I guess it was an OK place to get drunk. I asked for a refund for the coming night, which was fairly given to me. Listen to the bad reviews, do not stay here, unless you like dirty student digs.

Since travelling south east Asia for over a month, easily the worst hostel I have stayed in. 2 star because fundamentally it has the makings of an okay hostel. However it is like being back in student halls, without the cleaners or adults to supervise. So filthy, everything is grimy, floors, dorms and the toilets. We had to leave early as after last night's unannounced party, one toilet was so bad I cannot describe it, and with only 2 toilets for 20 guests, we couldn't hack it anymore. The problem is the hostel is run by volunteers who are not really interested in how a hostel runs. Everything is a bit rubbish from furniture, WiFi to customer service. The mattresses are comfy (sheets don't fit mind), breakfast included and the potential is there. But you couldn't pay me to stay again, I feel like I need multiple showers.

BEDBUGS!!! This place is horrible! Everything is dirty, the mattress is wrapped in plastic and you can hear every move you make. Also the mattress is maybe 5 cm thin, so it's very uncomfortable and hard. But the worst are the bedbugs I saw crawling on the wall, I smashed two, so there are black dots from the blood on the wall now, but not the first ones! It's also super hot in the room, the smell is terrible, the 25 people don't care about sleeping time at all: talking, packing during the night, what doesn't matter too much, anyway you will wake up from bedbugs :D ? You can find better hostel for same price, without bedbugs. I am traveling since 4 month now, always in very cheap hostels, but this one was the worst!

My first time staying at a hostel. And honestly, I loved it! I had so much fun. The community feeling there is just incredible with the nicest, friendliest and most helpful staff. Rules are pretty simple, come and go as you please. I will most Deffinitly be going back. (I'll take photos next time.) See ya guys next time!!! Xx
