★ ★ ★ ★ ★ マラッカの中国仏教寺院 Aw Hai Tian (湖海殿)の屋根を撮影した写真です。七宝焼きで作られたゴージャスでカラフルな3D絵画のような屋根ですぞ。
A photo of the roof of Aw Hai Tian, a Chinese Buddhist temple in Melaka. A roof like a gorgeous and colorful 3D painting made of cloisonne.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Don’t be misled by the small sizes of this 120 year old temple. Dedicated to the Taoist God of Medicine Da Sheng Ye.
They just celebrated their 120th anniversary of the founding in 1899.
They are affiliated with the well known Bao Sheng temple in Tainan Taiwan.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Visited in Feb before the lockdown began. This beautiful Chinese Temple is a Taoist temple. It’s a small temple, but richly decorated and beautifully maintained. It’s not as well known as the other temples in Melaka, but it’s absolutely worth a quick visit for it’s photogenic qualities. The decorations on the roof are a stunning ensemble of Chinese mythological creatures and Taoist deities. The dragons are so well carved, they look like they’re about to take off.
