We were late for 15min, but thanks for accommodating us! Ordered these 3 splendid menu choices, other than the Gnocchi (not our liking), other 2 Tagliatelle and Charred Cauliflower (seasonal menu) was spot on, nothing that we've tasted before! Reminder to book at least 1 month in advance especially during weekends or holidays.

Visited this restaurant with a group of friends and enjoyed it very much. What I like? First of all, dishes were all good and outstanding ones are Squid Ink Tagliolini w poached egg and smoked bacon, Agnolotti with Porcini, Spinach Pasta w Truffle and Foie Gras. I also like the unpretentious surrounding, no fancy deco and the focus is on food. Friendly vibe. Both Chef Jay and one other partner came by multiple times to check in on us. Very reasonably priced. The dinner came up to less than RM120 per person and we ate very very well.Itโ€™s almost impossible to get freshly made pasta, porcini mushroom, foie gras, truffle all in the same meal at this price almost anywhere else on earth!! My reason not to award 5 star? Firstly, although the pasta were very good, they all served in creamy sauce, though good, I thought it was too much in the end. Secondly, the 3 starters were all good, love to see at least a salad on the menu. Thirdly, dry pasta certainly has its place and I particularly love the texture of a well cooked dry pasta that fresh pasta could never achieved. Lastly there are room to improve on the 2 rice dishes: the rice of the Katsu rice bowl, in my opinion, should be warm. Again rice of Yuzu Brisket should also served warm (since porched egg wasnโ€™t ) and maybe pork works better? I find the brisket to be too lean for my liking. The place maybe a bit confusing to find for the first timer, itโ€™s at the back of Brussels Beer Cafe. There are 2 seatings available and we opted for the 8:30pm seating meaning I donโ€™t get to finished till about 10pm, a bit late for dinner personally. Will go for earlier session. Online booking is now available on their Instagrams. Go support these young entrepreneurs who work hard to bring us new and exciting dining experiences.

Overall an enjoyable experience but sadly with one big miss. You can tell that the chefs here are trying to come up with something special with every plate. Hopefully the consistency can be improved. The main highlights for me were the quinoa, spinach, truffle arancini and the potato gnocchi with yuzu brisket. They were well done and unique. Big shoutout to the yuzu brisket which was cooked to perfection. We were however really let down by the tagliatelle with Kurobata pork steak as the pork was over cooked. The meat was extremely difficult to chew and it was so jarring compared to the other dishes. Itโ€™s a shame as I did find the tagliatelle mixed with nori and roasted garlic butter was fantastic. Still a fan because I like what they are doing here, and the pasta recipes here are clearly on the right track. Hoping the pork can be cooked better the next time.

I think people came here with too much expectations. The menu they serve here is unique and I enjoyed all the different taste of dishes the chef was trying to achieve. Very friendly staff and also a lot of pretentious customers who are doing it for the gram not the food. I had a very happy full tummy at the end of the day with flavours unexplainable! Thanks chef!

Environment: Sit in the indoor section. Do not sit in the front (Izakaya seats) many people have complained how bad their experiences were. It is said to be hot, stuffy, smelly etc. As for presentation of the food its pretty good 7.5/10 But for taste of the food, 6.5/10 not bad. Definitely better and cheaper pastas out there. Ribs were slightly more on the pricier side of things but all I tasted was a burnt flavour profile. Not to mention the portions were crazy small especially for the Agnolotti, there were only 5 pieces ? The only advice Iโ€™d give for this place is that if you wanna try, you can, its not too bad but not very good either. But you probably wouldnโ€™t go back a second time.

Overall take: Food was decent but not worth waiting 1-2 months for, some lows on a few dishes was a letdown. Was let down by some unreasonable charges or ill preparation on the part of the restaurant. Food: 3/5 Food was plated and presented well, but overall seasoning was a miss for a few dishes, the ribs which were supposed to be the highlight was ridiculously over salted, and flavors were blend for dishes like the gnocchi. However really enjoyed the cauliflower! Good for the gram and showing people you've been there, but definitely have had better pasta elsewhere Price/Reasonableness: 2/5 Overall think the prices are reasonable for a pasta bar of this kind, prices I don't mind paying if the meal was good. But what really killed it was my experience with asking for a 'Vegetarian' option to accommodate a vegetarian guest (Keep in mind, a few weeks and days before dining, I did flag to the restaurant that I have a vegetarian guest and they agreed to accommodate). On the actual day, they didn't have anything vegetarian as a main option and offered to make a vegetarian version of the gnocchi by removing the protein. There was no replacement for the protein and was served just ~10 pieces of gnocchi, and when the bill came it was explicitly mentioned to me that "We will charge full price for that". So was definitely taken aback. Otherwise, other dishes were priced ok and expected for a place like this. Ambience: 4/5 Cool vibes in the front, but if you happen to get placed in the storage cum dining room at the back then not so cool. (Heard they were expanding so that may change) Service: 4/5 Serving team was definitely nice and cheerful. But think could work with longer dining times, which I believe they now have 1.5 hour slots. Was just slightly disappointed that the ribs came 5 minutes before end of service and we had to eat in a hurry and takeaway. (Was asked to leave) Disclaimer (If you want to take my review with a pinch of salt): Me and my party were late to the restaurant by ~15-30 mins, so the service was rushed but we agreed to prepare the dishes before the full party arrived. Chef was nice enough to accommodate us but think the ribs was actually poorly timed on the side of the restaurant. I tried as much as possible to review by parking aside that dissatisfaction of being rushed, as that was mostly our own fault.

Trying this place so you don't have to. Booked 2 months ago when I heard some positive reviews. Generally the portions are small. What we ordered: - Quinoa, spinach and truffle arancini. The arancini wasn't bad but the sauce was cold. - Squid ink tagliolini carbonara. So salty and not much flavour. - Potato gnocchi with miso bechamel and yuzu brisket. The most edible dish of the night, though some parts of the gnocchi was burnt, the taste was still ok, beef was tender. - Wild mushroom agnolotti with porcini mushrooms, bacon, and leek puree. Not sure why the agnolotti filling was so sour while mushroom tasted like it's going to spoil and very mushy. - Grilled patin served with romesco sauce and squid in tagliolini aglio olio. Worst dish of the night, the fish was cold and so smelly and salty, 3 out of 4 of us tried and couldn't take another bite. - Specials: lamb rack. Not memorable. This was by far the worst dining experience I've had. Actually vomited when I came home coz the fish was so bad even though I just took a bite. Maybe my luck was just bad coz one of our friends said his previous visit was amazing. Wouldn't recommend. Anyway they did asked for comments and we have provided our honest feedback, hopefully they'll improve the quality of the dishes in the near future. Update: One friend who dined with us also felt unwell from the food. Hopefully those who are planning to go will have a better experience.

Not bad. I enjoyed their side dishes more. If only they also have dessert on the menu to end our meal, it will be even perfect! We booked the izakaya wall but when we arrived they moved us to the room inside which I do not mind at all. At least we did not walk out with smell. They were also very accommodating on not sprinkling spring onion on my food which I really appreciated!
