β β β β β So the thing that spoiled the experience is the spicy food on our platters. I know they serve jalapenos and we were expecting SOME sting, but not like this. We ordered The Kansas set, and when asked why the ribs and chicken was so spicy, the server simply said Kansas style BBQ is like this. C'mon, we're Malaysians not Americans, you're expecting us to know Kansas style BBQ is spicy?? He told us that if we don't want so spicy we could tell the kitchen next time. You see.. next time doesn't help us with our THIS TIME. Server did offer to replace the ribs, but we really didn't want to waste food, knowing you guys are probably gonna throw these away. So we politely declined.
This could have been so easily avoided if only they put chilli icons on the menu to show that it's spicy. Or if the server who took our orders would tell us it's spicy. I know most Malaysians can handle spicy and my tolerance is moderate but it's still too spicy for us. 3 out of 4 of us simply can't eat the spicy stuff. One of us also has a medical reason to avoid spicy food.
Aside from the spicy incident, I enjoyed the chilli fries the most, the chicken is also good with charcoal grill taste. Mac n cheese was used to mellow out the spicy lol (can't really taste it that much) and the Angus brisket was tender, but flavor-wise I've had better.

β β β β β Ordered the beef brisket, pulled lamb, jerk chicken, mac & cheese, mashed potatoes and beignets.
The best of everything ordered is the brisket. The pulled lamb is a bit on the dry side. As for the jerk chicken, the jerk marinade (or jerk seasoning, whatever they used) didnβt shine through. Jerk chicken from a food cart in the Bronx taste way better than this. Donβt forget to have the meats with the sauces served on the table or itβll be a bit bland.
No complain for the mac & cheese and mashed potatoes.
They can really improve more on the beignets. Five on a plate and each of them have different textures. Two of them arrived deflated. Only one which was perfectly crunchy on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside. Could be fried slightly longer as the colour is pretty pale for a beignet. Sadly to say Iβve tasted better beignets from a food truck in California, and itβs not even from Louisiana.

β β β β β The meat is really delicious and fresh. The chili fries is unbelievable. The beef brisket is tender and silky, the Mac & cheese is so delicious specially the cheese. Loved it. Sure to dine in again and again

β β β β β ordered pulled lamb, beef brisket, chili fries, mashed and grilled vegetables.. brisket was tender, juicy, and succulent.. the moist beneath that beautiful crust, you donβt even need a knife.. it simply melts in your mouth.. pair it with the pulled lamb, some pickles and chili fries along with the brioche bun, and enjoy each bite away!
place is nice and cozy.. great hangout place with family and friends.. service was friendly too. came to check to see if everything is alright. if you love southern style BBQ.. definitely worth a try!
