★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Chill Cafe appears to be an upmarket and modernized version of the former cheap-but-dreary public cafeteria at the University Malaya Specialist Centre.
Unlike its predecessor cafeteria operator, the food and drinks counters are now separate from one another.
The new menu includes a small selection of "Malay style", Western cuisine like deep fried chicken chop and pasta carbonate/olio/bolognaise.
Its chicken rice is surprisingly tasty here and is available in steamed or roast versions. Probably not "The Chicken Rice Shop" standards but it's nearly there.
Their fried chicken chop leaves a lot to be desired though - its execution, presentation and taste is mediocre. I would not recommend this dish.
Chill Cafe also takes a' la carte food orders like Pattaya fried rice, fried instant noodles, kaya butter toast, etc.
Its menu items are moderately priced while the ambience is cosy. Outdoor seating is available but as with all other hospital zones the outdoor dining area is a no smoking zone.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Majority of food quite tasty and the price is reasonable considering the location. Local options are in my opinion better than the ‘western’ ones. Not much ‘healthy’ choices except for the fruits. The brewed coffee is also not bad and cheaper than the branded kiosk just outside this cafe. Ambience also calm and clean. Would recommend if visiting UMSC.
