β β β β β Yesterday 9am Christmas celebration at this church, it was a complete letdown. The worship and song leaders were leading their own shows actually and although unintended had turned the focus on themselves. And, I refer to the songs in particular.
Yes, the screens fronting the congregation are huge but equally huge were the images of the singers. The lyrics however were tiny one-liner
( "footnote" if i may call it) at bottom the human images. As a result, members of the congregation being reliant on the help of lyrics could not follow and could not partake meaningfully in the celebration. Given what happened, will the words/lyrics take centre fold instead, the next time.
Please take my feedback with the right humility of Christ and rectify your blind spots.
By the way, i am effectively bilingual in both Chinese and English. I am also a foreign visitor.
