β β β β β Been wanting to try this restaurant for some time then MCO hits.. Finally went there last week! Tried their Omakase @ RM200. Served a 6 course meal including extremely fresh Sashimi, favourite Chawanmushi, Yakitori and more! The Japanese Chef handles the ingredients very well too.

β β β β β While Solaris may have transformed into a literal China town over the years, Chitose remains as one of the very few surviving authentic Japanese restaurants around the area specialising in Hokkaido style dishes. Sashimi may not be Chitoseβs strong suit but this is a decent place for generous portions of yakitori without sitting in the heat. Do check out for the interesting selection of Japanese alcohol on their menu where you can find some uncommon bottles of Japanese spirits exclusively in this restaurant.

β β β β β If you are looking for delicious and authentic Japanese food, look no further. The chef (which is also the owner) is from Hokkaido, Japan. Fish and some food items are imported from Japan (mostly Hokkaido) every week. My favourite is to order their omakase and leave to the chef to prepare the whole course with the seasonal food. The seafood is very fresh and well prepared. For cooked food, the chef will prepare it in authentic Hokkaido style.
I have been to Japan many times and in my opinion, the food here sometimes tastes better than what you get in Japan. The price here is very reasonable for what you get. The chef probably does it because of his passion for food rather than money.
It is recommended that you call in advance especially if you are planning to have omakase.

β β β β β This is a small cozy Japanese Izakaya style restaurant where you can expect fresh quality food of delectable taste. Japanese cocktails is part of the drinks menu and you may splash on Yamazaki 12yo or Hibiki.

They have Japanese style izakaya dishes such as Sashimi, Yakitori, Wagyu steak, Karaage, Grilled fish Shoyu Ramen etc. All foods are cooked very professional by Japanese chef. Only regretable point is hall staff guys. Their service is poor, not trained well.
