★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This family-owned restaurant should be on your list if you have only 24 hours in Langkawi. The masak lemak daging salai is full of flavour and, coupled with the hot sambal, is just heavenly. However, be expected to wait for a little as every dish is made to order.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Roadside shop, we came around 12pm hence there was less people yet the food took sometime to be prepared. The staff was friendly and made sure that we had a good lunch. Ordered Ayam asam pedas (6 big pieces), their signature fried brinjal anchovies and omelette. The food was amazing and probably some may find pricey for a roadside shop but i may pay the same amount at KL

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Small restaurant somewhere in between Cenang beach and Kuah town. Serves delectable local Malay cuisines. Rich in flavour and aroma. Definitely satisfies your taste buds. Price on the higher side but surely worth each and every penny
Only downside is you need to pay by cash or bank transfer.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 1. Highly recommend the chili prawn. Prawn is really fresh and the sauce is good. However slightly overpriced. I believe it’s about 8 prawns for RM68 excluding Service Charge. Please refer prawn picture number 2.
2. Siakap asam pedas is nice too. However, was a bit undercooked, so half of the fish was raw. Sauce was good though.
Opinion. Would I come back again? No. Nice to try one time because of the price can be high plus a service charge of 7% is completely unreasonable. I would have enjoyed the food better if the toilet wasn’t broken down, I mean it is Cili Kampung for a reason.
