This is such a fascinating place where a little community both lives and works in their old wooden houses supported by stilts along the jetty. A great place to take photos, the first jetty is more commercial with little stores selling things, but the jetty to the right is more interesting as this is nearly all housing of the people who live here. Please respect their privacy, and don't, as some tourists do, poke your cameras inside their houses. It's not respectful. In order to give these people some privacy they have asked for no visitors between 9.00pm and 9.00am the following day.

Clan jetties is not a name for a single jetty rather it's a conglomeration of 6 jetties(floating villages) such as Chew jetty, Lim jetty, Tan jetty etc. We went there last weekend. Though there are a lot of parking spaces, due to weekend ( also new year time), it was a bit difficult to find a parking space. We asked few people around and they suggested to go to Chew jetty(there was no entry fee) as it is the best for visitors. You can see a lot of shops and traditional houses over water and there was a temple as well. We would suggest to go in the evening or anytime during a non sunny day.

Take a walk across rickety wooden boards, see original settler accommodation that is over 100 years old and take a short but picturesque boat ride around the coastline.

Not much to see. Mostly a shopping and food place. On the clan Jetties do visit this small place 49degree snow to enjoy some snow ice cream. Wonderful ambience small yet simple

A nice rustic village house on top of the water. It has a narrow alley to the jetty filled with houses, with some of them turned to stalls selling souvenirs, food or beverages. At the end of the jetty you can see blue instead of brown water. It also is a good place for photo with Penang Bridge as the backdrop.

Just another overhyped overrated tourist spot. Come here if you have time to kill.

Although the weather is extremely hot but it does bring back a lots of childhood memories. Sweet and unforgettable.

This was interesting to see. The views are cool. I only gave it three stars because you're basically walking between people's homes which feels kind of uncomfortable especially in the evening when the views are best.
