★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I love the vibe of this cafe. Not the kind that all the influencers will come and caused long queues lol more like a place where regulars would come and enjoy their breakfast. Came here during breakfast time on a weekday and its great, no waiting time. Food is great too, not too pricey and the portion is very decent. Highly recommend their pesto pasta.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The food and coffee was nice. But the staff will literally asking you to leave impolitely. They have a rule of 1 hour dine in, but they came to our table and saying you need to leave now. We already gave you extra 30 min.
What kind of customer service is this? I know we need to leave but you you just started clearing the table. No apologies. I mean better choice of words. Disappointed

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Don't allow customers to sit without incomplete party... Makes you wait outside even when the cafe is empty. Didn't know closer is a fine dining restaurant. 1 hour policy only for dine in. We are at the end of the pandemic, the whole world is starting to move on. Here we have some really outdated rules. A restaurant should not be allowed to have a time limit for its customers. If ur wanting to flip around more tables I suggest you just keep the store open for you friends and family only. Don't need outside customers.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Strange location and only able to dine in for 1 hour. Food is good. I ordered classical pancake with add on (eggs and bacon) and love their hot chocolate with sea salt.

For coffee lovers, Closer Kitchen & Espresso Bar is quite popular and relatively hidden in Mutiara Damansara area. Personally I have been coming here for more than my fingers could count ever since I first discovered this cafe. The fact that I come to this area almost every weekend, this cafe is one of the many cafes that I'd go to for a nice cup of coffee.
With floor-to-ceiling glass, this cafe utilises natural lighting to give the whole premise a bright and cosy feel. There's a corner where they prepare the pour-over coffee for you, while the rest of the premise is filled with wooden furniture.
◾Baked Egg Sizzle - chicken sausage with perfectly baked eggs, splashed over in homemade Provencale sauce, roasted pumpkin & English muffin/garlic toast. Very wholesome meal.
◾The XL Breakfast - at times when I don't feel like eating one dish alone, I'd order this... Everything - scrambled eggs (or your choice of egg), 2 meats (bratwurst chicken & regular chicken sausage), and 2 sides (mash pumpkin & sauteed mushrooms), cranberry walnut toast and homemade Provencale sauce - all served in a big iron pan.
◾Eggs Anyway... She chose scrambled eggs with also served with just butter & toast. Extra smoked ducks (RM12) on the side which if I may say.. quite expensive for just few pieces.
◾Mushroom Cappuccino - a hearty bowl (or was it cup?) of soup made naturally from assorted mushrooms. The soup was then served in a cappuccino bowl with fragrant butter garlic toast to dip.
◾If proper meal is not what you're looking for, they do have selection of cakes on the display.
◾I just love their white cold brew... Never failed to order this whenever I'm here. Coffee beans used are of good quality.
Not sure about their other food because most of the time I came here just for breakfast. Service team is friendly and efficient to fulfill your need and order.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Haven't been here after leaving my previous employer at Menara Mudajaya 5 years ago. Used to come here quite often for lunch, especially for the duck lychee sandwich and pesto pasta with grilled chicken. Revisited this place as I was heading towards 1U and wanted to grab a quick lunch. Quality is still fantastic after all these years but I think the prices might have gone up a bit. Well what haven't right?
The menu is much more extensive compared to back then so will drop by again whenever I have chance to pass by this area. Good job to the proprietor for maintaining the excellent quality ?

I've underestimated how big their XL breakfast is, and ordered a side of calamari as well. As the result, I got too full after finishing everything ?
Long black coffee here is sour coffee, so if you're looking for a bitter coffee, you might need to go for other options that is not long black.
Atmosphere is amazing, despite the 1 hour eating time. Staffs are friendly and helpful too!
If you're in mood for some good American breakfast, this is definitely a place to try out ;D
