★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stayed in this unit recently, here are my critical reviews as follows:
*Pros*
● Convenient shops nearby, easy access for dry food, snacks and water.
● 6-8 minutes walk to Jonker street.
*Cons*
● Limited parking slots
- Owner mentioned there were two car parks available infront of the Coco Homestay. However, only one was available when we arrived to the place. We ended up placing our second car at the field nearby to coco, ending up being charged MYR5.00 per day.
● Living hall was was satisfactory but...
- Most of the furniture was very old and worn out. Also, the space is quite small for guests who come in big numbers (5 and above).
● Terrible Sleeping Experience
- All sleeping rooms were below satisfactory. Air conditioners were not well maintained in all sleeping rooms (Room 1 and 2 air conditioners had noises while operating, Room 3 air conditioner had water leakage).
- Most mattresses especially spring based mattresses were worn out, and this has terribly impacted our sleeping experience during the stay.
● Kitchen is just... "NO"
- There is only one word to describe coco homestay's kitchen in terms of hygiene and maintenence, "Disasterous".
● Washroom facilities were okay but...
- Washrooms were not well maintained. Both washrooms had terrible stains on the wall and the basic amenities such as toilet rolls were not given extra when the existing roll was already less than 30%.
I hope the management of coco homestay will take note on this review critically, hence to improve basic aspects of a homestay to eliminate discomfort for any future guests' stays.
