Signature: Hotpot
Very confusing restaurant with a few names probably due to change in management. Firstly the Google Map shows Da Miao Hot Pot and the Centre Signboard reads Da Mui Hot Pot and the Front Signboard is Shuguo. I presume this is Shuguo.
Shuguo is more a Hot pot restaurant rather than a Chinese restaurant. We ordered a wide variety of food and the Steamboat / hot pot was so so only. The pork bone soup is average and so is the ma la hotpot.
We ordered the Spicy Crab also but it was super salty. We sent it back to the kitchen to reduce the saltiness but it came back just as salty.
The Salted Vegetable Fish was quite ok and nice. The Toman fish was really fresh and nice. We also tried the Hui Guo Rou (Pork) and it blends well with man tou.
Well on the overall I think the hotpot is average only but the Chinese dishes we ordered were quite good. Oh, one good thing is that they serve the Harbin Beer which is pretty rare in Malaysia.

Had to have stir fried shredded cabbage and my buddy order the others.
Somehow real authentic China SzeChuan style food but flavour strong with the mala peppers and lots of oil and oil and oil like it was free.
Somehow a bit lacking with the miss of the wok hei. Expected more.
ONE MORE THING … for the price we paid for dinner, rice served was so so … Such cheap type of rice actually. Disappointing.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My millionth hotpot meal. Brownie points to the establishment for accommodating my request for veggie-based soup. Service was good, and the servers were friendly and responsive. My vegetarian mala hotpot had a lot of spices in it. But I think the tomato soup was the star for the night because it was flavorful and yet still very tomatoey. I would like to return to try the Sichuan dishes.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The mala and pork broth, types of items available, and even the ambiance reminded me of my visit to Chengdu! Taste is really authentic! Service was good too. They serving "lousang" now for cny. Will definitely be back again for the authentic Szechuan steamboat!

But like many comments here, food is salty and oily… which is very much like how it is in China…. But perhaps, can dial back abit on the salt to cater for more local taste (wld tell them to put less salt the next time we go…)
Other two dishes were salt and pepper ribs… the wife thought the ribs were cut too small and hence tough to eat and it was salty… but it was tasty overall…
I wld give the egg plant a miss in favour of some other veg dish next time..

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ordered Griddle Cooked Pork Intestine, Chongqing Style Boiled Blood Curd and Steamed Fish. Griddle Cooked Pork Intestine is oily. Chongqing Style Boiled Blood Curd is super salty. Steamed Fish is considered fresh but portion quite small. Rice is also very small.
