★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Dataran Lang is known as Eagle Square and is a 'not to miss' attraction when visiting Langkawi. The brownish large eagle structure is located on a waterfront in Kuah. The structure is beautifully done and is lit up with colourful lights during night. They also say that the term Langkawi is also means a place of eagles.
The best part was the sunset! It's a bliss to watch sun setting over the waterfront.
There is a large open space around to sit and enjoy the view. Oh, also the entry is free!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ During peak season, it is highly recommended to go at night as there were limited parking available and it can get really hot during the day. Plus, the lights displayed were beautiful at night and you can enjoy taking pictures without having the heat on your head. If you bring your children, they can enjoy playing motorized toys at the dataran while you can enjoy snacks or ice cream.
