β β β β β Avoid at all cost. We went for a snorking trip there. Pick up was at 8.00 and we arrived in the island only at 12. Very far, it takes forever to get there in a very cold ac boat. CORAL IS DEAD there. A lot of fat and aggresive fish coming anyway becasue they feed them with some wierd dog food. Fish was biting everyone to the blood! I definetly do not recommend it, it is dangerous and not nice. Waste of time.

β β β β β Beautiful scenery and clear water which houses plenty of colorful fishes and baby sharks. We took lots of great photos there. Sadly , the corals there are mostly dead and bleached . 20 years ago, this place was awesome! The snorkels equipment might not work well for some, kept drinking sea water... Other than that, the infrastructure is poor, with toilets without doors and tap water. The wooden bridge along the beach is breaking down... Maintainance is very bad... Sad.. The food provided was not delicious.

β β β β β This place has gone down hill fast. I was here about 12 years ago, and it was pretty awesome, with clean water, locals feeding baby black-tip sharks, plenty of space. This time around, the experience was terrible. It looks like they are renovating the place? because I didn't see the pier structure, but a temporary floating pier. The big ferries dump their passengers onto this overcrowded platform, then, the small ferries take them to the floating pier, 30 meters away. Maybe it is the Chinese New Year period, both places were overrun, and at lunch time, they turned into refugee camps, no joke. A few days later, on the Chinese New Year Day, I saw the Jetty Point at Kuah, (the ferry pier that takes people to the Marine Park), had such a traffic jam the likes of which I've only seen in Manila. How could this many people all arrive on the little Marine Park? The "Refugee" situation is turning into a crisis! Avoid this place, if you have dived or snorkeled in better places. The visibility was like 3-5 meters only.

β β β β β Do not recommend. Very DANGEROUS tour.
If you are travelling with children or elderly people, please think twice before booking this tour.
First of all, it's clear that the company doesn't check weather conditions and they will send you there even if there are strong waves and winds.
Once we arrived at the island, we were given an old life jacket because there is no place to dock the boat and were sent to the shore on small transfer boats on huge waves.
Kids were not given fitted life vests and had to wear adult sized ones while riding on a boat on huge waves.
On the way back to the boat, we were left standing for over two hours while one transfer boat tried to move at least 300 people to the ferry.
Because of strong winds, waves at shore made it really hard for people to get on the transfer boats, especially children and elderly people. Many fell and some, like us, got home with cuts and bruises.
Needless to say that our complaints were not listened, and no refund given.

β β β β β A "Fun Day" with good snorkelling.
There are many choices of boats, meals, and activities which are available leaving from the Main Jetty in Kuah. It is worthwhile giving some thought prior to going regarding what you really want to see/do/eat etc. The choices will suit people of all ages. The "Park" is a boat trip away... and the reefs are "home" to baby sharks, and many varieties of fish and "plant/reef life". One can take a glass-bottom boat, or go snorkelling, or, if "certified", scuba is possible. The meals also cover a wide variety of options. All in all, it is an enjoyable and memorable activity-- which can cater to your interests- whatever they may be!
I hope that this Review has been helpful.

β β β β β I joined coral island tour company, the sea was very rough, and i had seasick from the wobbling ferry. The packed lunch is plain and simple. Beware of sharp corals and rocks at the shallow water. Toilets are the worst, no freshwater to shower and flush the toilet
