โ โ โ โ โ The Brick Cafe is a true hidden gem, located 1 min walk from Love Lane they serve amazing traditional Malaysian food and fresh tasty drinks aswell. I tried the vege curry which was the best I've had so far in Malaysia. The atmosphere is super chill, and it's tucked down a nice quiet lane, definitely recommend! you can even take cooking classes here if you so desire, I would definitely go back!

โ โ โ โ โ Came here this evening, but it was closed. Google Maps says it is open at that time. Please update your business at the Google maps. We came here by Grab just to eat here :(

โ โ โ โ โ Lisa and Remy run a wonderful cafe here!! We did a cooking class with Lisa, and cooked Malay style vegetable curry (also there was a chicken option), Roti Jala and Ondeh Ondeh (coconut dumplings) for dessert. The class said to be 2.5 hours, but easily went over 4 hours - with all the chatting and laughs cooking with Lisa felt like cooking with a good friend! She is very knowledgeable with Malay ingredients, and we feel we have learned a wealth of cooking information.
We loved the cooking class and meeting these wonderful people. We highly recommend to contact Lisa for a cooking class, or even just to visit the cafe for some delicious food! :)

โ โ โ โ โ We came here twice - the food is amazing and the prices are so good!
It's also within spitting distance of The House of Journey, the hostel we stayed at while in Georgetown.
Do yourself a favour and come and try it!

โ โ โ โ โ Lisa and Remyโs Brickcafe is one of my favorite places to eat GOOD FOOD, to listen GOOD MUSIC and to chill in A RELAXING ATMOSPHERE!
Lisa is a very friendly person from Germany who can teach you to cook the best Malay secret family recipes and her husband Remy will deleite your ears with his LIVE MUSIC! Great singer and guitar player!
My boyfriend and me are vegetarian and Lisa made us Vegetarian Mee Goreng Mamak, my boyfriend is still trying to figure out how a German Girl can cook Malay food better than actual Malays ?
The drinks are also really good, I recommend The Brick Special. Most of the times I come here I order this drink!!! Try it!!!
Finally, if you stay in LINCONโS BACKPACKERS you will get 10% discount!!!!!! So if the place is already cheap you can get the food even cheaper!!!

โ โ โ โ โ Delish traditional Malay food in a funky setting. after walking around trying to figure out what i wanted for lunch, i came across the brick cafe and so glad i did! Simple menu, with a couple of western choices if you wanted a change.
I went with a Lemon and ginger iced tea. (Very refreshing and sugar on the side meant i could enjoy with out the added sugar)
And a clay pot penang laksa. Not the laksa im used to, but so delicious and fresh. Highly recommend!

โ โ โ โ โ Me and partner had a wonderful experience in The Brick Cafรฉ. Because the weather forecast wasn't that great we searched on Google for a cooking class in the area and found this place. On the same morning we walked there and met the owner Lisa right when she was leaving for the market. We were very happy when she spontaneously said that we could cook Chicken Curry later that same day.
It was awesome, we did everything ourselves and Lisa helped as throughout the way. A lot of cooking, some explanations, good talks and a few hours later we where ready.
Our homemade Curry was awesome, we ate it with selfmade roti and even made ourselves desert.
It was a 10/10 experience for a small price. Just go there and ask if she has the time to cook with you, it was awesome.
