โ โ โ โ โ Like most other reviews, mine is very complementary of Dev's kayak mangrove tour and our guide Jerome Canisus. He was very professional, caring about us, the river/mangroves and the birds and animals. Jerome was keen for us to understand more about Malaysia, Langkawi and their recent and geological history. Always asking uw "why" he tried to get us to consider recent history to understand what was occurring around us. He certainly got us physically and mentally engaged in the life of the mangroves.

โ โ โ โ โ We did the โThe Old Langkawi Charm Tourโ yesterday and it was awesome. Pick up was right on time, the travel to the location took about 20 minutes and we where greeted from our host Chiro and Danish. Both hosts where perfect and really friendly and open minded guys.
They explained to us what we where going to cook and showed us around in the area.
Lucky for us we where the only two participants for that evening, so we had a really close support from both.
For the start we got some delicious tasting ginger tea with some sugar and more ingredients.
We cooked a chicken curry, some fried noodles, a dish with anchovis, stuffed tofu, a mango salad and roti bread.
Some of the ingredients where already prepared but we sliced and cooked a lot as well. Chiro and Danish encouraged us the whole time and it was a good and fun atmosphere.
We ate then all together dinner at one table and everything was delicious. For dessert we had banana bread/cake on some sesame roll with a peanut sugar filling.
The whole experience was in a original Malay house in a perfect surroundings area. You could really feel and hear the nature.
If you like cooking and experimenting you should definitely do this tour. It is something special and you will learn some new dishes and if you already know the dishes you will have a great time and can just enjoy.

โ โ โ โ โ The highlight of our trip to Langkawi. The guide was brilliant. Take the mangrove kayak trip if possible. Takes about 5 hours but definitely worth it. If it rains a bit. It adds to the experience. We saw vipers and monitor lizards. Learned a hell lot about mangrove and why they need to be preserved. It is serene experience. Must try for sure. You might feel it is expensive. But it is quite worth it.

โ โ โ โ โ Had such a lovely afternoon boat tour! Haris was really knowledgeable about the mangroves & the animals, and the captain made the boat such a fun ride. Highly recommend!!

โ โ โ โ โ The guide was alright despite playing RM240 for the sunrise mangrove kayak. We are kayak newbies, I expect more guidance in the beginning.
Maybe I have bit too high expectations. My friend and I were far behind, some parts we were quite lost. Can't seek help from the guide cause we are too far away
It will be nice if the guide slows down and have timely check on us to push us through the tiring arms exercise.

โ โ โ โ โ Our 1st-time kayaking experience was a 10/10, thanks to guide Haris who was friendly, patient, and calm the whole way. His passion for environmental conservation was admirable and his knowledge of our surroundings was very impressive.
Thanks to Alex for arranging this tour - over the phone, without any hassle.
We need have more young people to take an interest in nature and to realise its importance. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour and appreciated the solitude in nature.
