★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went for first consultation due to Dr. good rating with my wife since she planned to give birth in Penang. Very disappointed with the way the Dr. explain things, she is not interested in listening at all. Plus, she is like 'solve ur own problem type'. My wife work in KL, so we wanted to some advice on the travelling near the delivery but unexpectedly when we seek for her advice, she is silent and give us the look of ' you think la'... We waited from morning and were postpone to evening slot by the nurse. Only at 4 pm manage to meet her and we spent only 10 minutes with the Dr. Imagine travelling from far , waited for hours to be able to just meet Dr for less than 10 min.
One more, for my wife urine test, no patient name is labelled on the urine container. They just ask my wife to tell which container number and to just put the container in the toilet for them to come and check later. I wonder what will happen if someone wanted to sabotage the urine container and what if the nurse forgot the number told, then the results for mothers will be explained wrongly right. Scary, not worth it of any penny for this kind of services and procedures

I’m a young adult in my early 20s and have had hormonal issues in the past causing irregular periods, which somehow caused a terrible blood clot last week due to heavy bleeding.
I was in a panic as I had no idea what is happening to me and thought that It was something very serious hence I searched on google for gynaecologists in Penang and rushed to Dr.Karen’s office not long after. She examined and explained to me patiently regarding the issue and knew I was very nervous so she was also very gentle with all the procedures that had to be taken.
Everything was good after my appointment with Dr.Karen and I am just so relieved now. I’m feeling really blessed that I made the right choice of getting a consultation from Dr.Karen on that day all this happened as I can assure you that she is really one of the best doctors in Penang. Nurses were all very patient and nice too. A big thank you to Dr.Karen and her nurses!

She's a doctor that cares for her patients, constantly giving my husband and I options and space to decide what is best. Nurses are friendly and helpful too.

Despite busy schedule and pending labour cases in the operation theatre or labor room, she always remain calm. Her no nonsense approach may be seen as strict but do bear in mind that her priority is always the safety of baby and mummy. Any options and decision can always be discussed... and it is always in the best interest of her patients, not much about the money.
If you are looking for an honest consultation regarding O&G, do not hesitate to engage Dr Karen. She is probably one of the best doctor in this field.
