β β β β β Nice ambience Western restaurant serving delicious soups, yummy chicken salad. Like the spring chicken, meat is sweet and tender perfected by the black pepper sauce. The service is good and the waiteres is polite. Price is also reasonable.

β β β β β Love the ambience. Serene, secluded, calm and peaceful - the way a western restaurant should feel like.
Wide myriad of menu selection. I ordered Cobia fish bake rice. The food smell an taste heavenly. I never know cobia fish can be so tasty. It really provide the 5 star fine dining experience. But overall i give 3 star because the price is expensive.

β β β β β The taste of the food varies during my visits here. Sometimes good and sometimes not. Encountered food served slightly cold already. Ordered the grilled lamb chop today. Portion is large but taste is so so only. No lamb taste. Choices of desserts is not as good as before. Taste deteriorates every time I eat here.

β β β β β Lamb shank is uniquely cooked dry and not oily though tastes nice. Improvement to make it juicy could attract regular followers.
Ambiance need improvements to reduce the echo when everyone talks.
Generally food is good and well done.
Would come again.

β β β β β I have been to East Grill many, many times. I have seen how the business has evolved over the years since I live very close to it. Although I am now based in PJ, and have traveled around the world, let me be frank about this small establishment: you get a really good dining experience here. The food is pricey especially for a small city like Kuantan, but... It is consistently good. My children and I like the pizza in particular as it is always done just right. They do not over season their food and the service is always good: they can accommodate your needs. The fact that it has been around for over 20 years in the very same spot is a testament very few businesses in kuantan can proudly hold up to. And when it comes to Western food (with a slight fusion twist), there really is no other place that can equal it. There are competitors but they do not have the consistency of East Grill. I really enjoyed my meals there!
