★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Despite the dour and old look from the entrance of the restaurant, the food served was quite the opposite. It was recommended by a few friends who are locals here. Have to say that both the dishes we ordered were tasty and delicious! Very satisfied with the serving amount. Price was reasonable for a western food joint. Service was quite good too. Ample parking space outside.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Supposed to be one of the best steak houses in Kuantan.. But disappointingly not so. Far better to buy your piece of steak at Jaya Grocer and cook it yourself. More tender, more juicy, and less pricy.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wish i had taken the picture of edamame. It was more than i expected. The edamame wasn't overcooked and soft like those *cough cough* sushi diners. I had their tomato salad with vinaigrette dressing, and the rest of the family ordered tuna pizza, chicken chop spaghetti. It was great for sharing. The ambient is nice, the staff were friendly too. Ohh yeah, and most importantly, you didn't have to wait long for your order. A nice quaint place in kuantan ??

Mushroom soup is quite good too. And price is reasonable.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ By Kuantan standard a very good western restaurant. Not cheap - rib eye steak is RM90, but meat was cooked well and was good quality. Fish and chips was a generous serving of fish in crisp batter and good chips. Pleasant and fast service. We would return.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Place: A cozy, air conditioned with 2 storey seating restaurant that specialises in Western cuisine. Place is clean, no problem. Toilet is ok too. Often not too crowded.
Service: a little lagging when I came into the restaurant but kinda made up for the prompt subsequent service.
Food:
1) fresh oyster: it was fresh and appetising. RM14 is standard pricing. Verdict: ok-la. Nothing special.
2) mushroom soup (RM7): can't get the idea & taste that it's out of a can. Very artificial tasting and lacks fresh ingredients. Verdict: I'd rather "bancuh" myself a mushroom soup at home if I wanna take it here.
3) chicken Rahme-something-zel (RM37): the chicken was pan fried to perfection. It was most, the flavours were locked in and seasoning was on point. The well seasoned fried mash potato complimented the chicken excellently. But, again, the mushroom sauce was a let down as it came out of a can. Verdict: missed the mark due to the sauce.
4) Pizza Hoi beef (RM43): thin crust pizza with a thin layer of beef and just visible cheese. The taste of the beef sauce was from Canned tomatoes and more Asian flavour than Western. Verdict: Not their forte, much better pizzas out there for half this price.
Overall, this is an "atas" place in terms of price and ambiance but falls short on the freshness and taste. Such a waste to use Canned food when fresh ingredients can be bought from next door.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I give 3 Star Rating because the food prices are too expensive. Both Sherwood's and Cherating Steakhouse share the same menu and same Expensive Price. The taste is still consider Ok though. Hope the restaurant owners adjust the price. Thank you.
