Located at shoptlot in a low cost flat. It was a surprise find tho, thats why we gave it a try. Ambience was nice, reno was minimal, kept most of the vintage furnitures (chairs, windows, tables etc). Didn’t feel warm prolly bcuz there’s just enough AC. Its a small and cozy restaurant. What I didn’t really like was the limited food choices, price and services. There’s not much western food, no pastries in the cafe. I think Coffee is their main. Menu was printed A4 papers on a clip-on wooden board. We was actually expecting some big breakfast/pastries to pair with coffee on the day visited but sadly there aren’t any. So we ordered a Minced Pork w Scrambled Egg Rice (RM15) & a Pork Bulgogi Rice Bowl (RM20) just to try on the taste. And a cuppa Mocha (RM16). Food was nice. Mocha was a failure to me. There’s an acidic taste to it which is not up to my liking and the both of us couldn’t even drink half of the small tall cup served (as photo attached). We then talked to one of the staff about this issue and the staff looks confused, then responded with “oh the chocolate is sour, maybe its that” and then just turned. Oh wow. We was definitely surprised. But its fine. We stood up and wanted to just walk away with the Mocha left (almost in its original form, it was served not full). And one who looks more like a manager or boss asked us is anything ok with the drink and we told it tasted sour/acidic so we couldn’t. And then he brought us to the counter to explain to us that the chocolate they used was a 72% Kelantan chocolate which has a acidic taste to it, and the coffee beans they used are also acidic. He mentioned there’s customers who complaint about this problem too, but he have no idea how to solve the problem and I suggested him to give out 2 options for people to choose. If you know it might taste differently from what they have been consuming at almost all other cafes, they should’ve informed prior to us placing order. Isn’t that right?? Well wasted my RM16 for that cuppa. Tbh i personally think they prices are on a higher note, given the area is a housing area, in a low cost flat, minimal reno, and no parking. I really don’t think they should charge a good RM16 for a cup of coffee. This price is alrdy similar like those in Bens, Wizards, Pokok, Nippori, etc that heavily renovated their restaurant. It was a cafe below my expectation.

Ebony & Ivory Coffee is a hidden cafe at an old shop lot. They offer hybrid of asian & western meal. Their speciality would be rice bowl, the egg is soft and fluffy. Coffee itself is fragrant. They also had wide variety of cake for selection.

Food and coffee are excellent and the team is friendly, good service. It can be a little crowded during the weekend but the wait is usually not too long. Will definitely recommend and come back. Keep up the good job!

Went to a nearby cafe in Cheras previous week and was utterly disappointed, Ebony & Ivory Coffee does not disappoint. Arrived at 2, and it had a crowd so had to wait 10 mins for a seat. Waitress was super friendly and great service! Cakes, main courses and coffee is really good! Barista/Server came to follow up after the meal to and was friendly! This place dont charge service charge for its great service unlike the disappointing place I mentioned which had no service as everything was self service and it had 10% charge! Highly recommend those who are on the fence to give this place a try. Only downside is area hard to find parking, so need to pray for some luck.

It's a small cafe but a cozy atmosphere. Seating may be limited. Do Prepare to wait for at least 30mins during the peak hours. Hard to look for parking as the roads here are narrow and parking are limited. Love the minced pork scramble egg rice the most. Fried chicken was so so. Drinks/ coffees are acceptable.

Saw a TikTok post and it got me sold right away! Located near Pantai Cheras Hosp area, it's situated in a shoplot, which is a lil surprising. The place is small. Inside has a minimalist decor and honestly, I find it stuffy. (Don't like tight, crowded spots). But thankfully, we sat outside and the ambience there is nice and quiet. Unlike inside which was noisy. The menu, like most reviews, is pretty limited on food choices, HOWEVER, It's delicious and well worth the price (in my opinion)! Enjoyed their drinks too - Matcha Latte & Spiced Honey Lemon. Some dishes are only available on weekends like the Avocado with toast dish in the pics. (Filling and delicous)!! Now, parking here is a headache unless you're super patient, then by all means, go ahead. My one stipulation though, payment is either cash or DuitPay Now. They don't accept cards .. ha... but alright, overall, pleasent experience! Would come here again to try the cakes!

[March 2022] 1. Cozy, and the old rustic vibes 2. A bit pricey, but creme de la creme coffee 3. Mocha type is more towards coffee than chocolate 4. Far from public transport Very interesting location to be within a block of apartments. Cafe setting very ambient and chill. Went on a weekday afternoon so it was kind of quiet. Mocha has an excellent blend. My personal taste is more towards more chocolate or a balance of chocolate and coffee, however. Also making this special include the tungsten-like lamps and decor such as a vintage drumset. The set of furniture gave the whole cafe a retro look. It is next to a Japanese-styled facade clinic. It has the chi to it. For such portion, a bit pricey though, but worth it. A bit far from any public transport so I can’t visit often. A good neighbourhood cafe.
