β β β β β Steve has many years experience and is particularly good with Caucasian hair. I visited this salon as I heard they use plant based products and colors which I love. Coffee is great too. Will be back!

β β β β β What I want to say about this salon, Steve, and the entire staff is going to copy much of what has already been said here. This place is fantastic. I think it's about the best haircut I've ever had, and the color is perfect and very natural looking. The salon is clean and cool and comfortable. Everyone there is skilled and very professional as well as friendly. As if this all wouldn't be enough, there's even an adorable dog who greets you, sits in your lap, and escorts you to the door when you leave. Needless to say, I will be a regular client here.

β β β β β I went to this salon for my 2 year old hair cut and the service is terrible if not horrendous. I only came here because my friend recommended it and she had a great experience with her 5 yo son, I had the opposite of it nonetheless. Before coming there I was excited because itβs my sonβs first experience of haircut, we only shaved him before. I was appalled when a lady (not the hairdresser who handled my son) scolded me because I took a picture of my son while having his hair cut. She said the only time weβre allowed to take pictures only after itβs done. While my friend who went there couple months before me, took some pictures during the haircut and also the hair wash. If itβs a new rule, Iβll be happy to oblige but please you should do it politely. It was by far the most awful experience Iβve ever had in the island while living here for 3 years.

β β β β β I've searched for a long time to find a good salon to have my hair cut and bleached and I'm really happy to have found Estilo Aveda Salon. The ambience of the salon is quite nice and calm. They set the clients' appointments by a decent time gap and they're precisely on-time.
Steve truly knows his work. He's had 15 years work experience abroad which means he's worked with various hair texture and that was an important factor to me because many hair dressers are familiur mostly with local people's hair texture and I'm not a local.
Another great point to me was his honesty. My hair had been bleached and dark colored twice and I wanted to bleach again. He honestly told me that the color that I wanted would require three times bleaching and that'd drastically damage my hair. He advised me not to do it and instead offered me another shade which was close to what I wanted while not damaging my hair as much.
He also gave me a very nice haircut exactly as I had asked him. He and his team are sincerely nice, patient and helpful!
I'd highly recommend this salon and I'd like to go back there :)

β β β β β Steve is the best! I had been delaying getting my hair cut and colored since moving to Malaysia. Estilo salon was highly recommended by other expatriate women, so I gave it a shot. My only complaint is I wish I had gone sooner. My hair looks better than it has in years. The cut is fantastic, but the color is even better. I appreciated Steve's honesty and advice. I will definitely be going back.

β β β β β I took my three kids (5F/4F/2M) here and they were so great and patient. The youngest is terrified of hair cuts, especially clippers, so they used scissors only and let him sit on my lap or take breaks when necessary. The girls loved their shop dog Momo and ask to go see her every day! Very good service and excellent cuts. Definitely recommend.

β β β β β I like the one-to-one attention and quiet vibes of this salon. I had requested very subdued colour for work reasons and the hairstylist managed to deliver it with the right intensity and location of the highlights.
The salon is located on the main road and easy to spot - tell your driver to keep right and turn into the carpark on the right.
The price is in the salon range for Malaysia and it should be reasonable for customers who use dollars or pounds. Malaysian Ringgit cash is preferred for payment.
I am an overseas customer but I would return here if I am in Penang again!

β β β β β Go see Steve. He's a legend. The salon is great and they use Aveda products. 100% would recommend. Worth the money. I've been going for the last year and I love it. I've recommended it to all my friends. Great for natural blonde highlights.
