Love this place. Only 6RM to fill a whole container of food. You can bring your own reusable container, no extra cost. Brown and white rice available. Tons of options including vegetables, protein (soy, tofu), mixed dishes, and noodles. They also have yummy fresh fruit juices (carrot+milk is good, 3rm). Customer service is very friendly and they speak English too. You can sit inside or take away.

Wide variety of vegetables to choose from. Never really like vegetarian food but this one is really good. Also the food was cheap for the mount I ate. Service were fast and the staff were friendly too. Highly recommended for people that looking for vegetarian options.

Plenty of fake meat options if you're into that. Affordable and tasty vegetarian place that's been going since the days of yore. Wide variety of veggie economy rice options, as well as noodle dishes and desserts. Family friendly joint although seating is rather cramped and gets a little stuffy inside. Rice is self-service in two big tubs. Parking is very limited given how busy the area is, so just bike or walk. Staff are so-so, mostly traditional seniors, so no hustle and little English. The place is now flanked by two money changers, so they've got that going for them. Decent amount of greens (although all cooked, none raw or especially fresh) but definitely no ham.

One of the best vegetarian restaurants with tons of varieties. I especially like the economy rice style dishes during lunch hour. Delicious and reasonably priced.

Just tried here for the first time. Was impressed by the choice of dishes. Lots of green leafy vegetables on offer. Have to say we enjoyed most everything on our plates. A reasonable price too. Will be back to try some more.

Got a lot of variety of dishes and noodles. In a vegetarian joint, I prefer the variety vegetables which are leafy rather than the mock Char Siew, Kidney, Roasted Duck, Satay, meaty chunk which are tasty but are full of flavoring. Most of the dishes served here are tasty and appetizing. There are also the use of Tou Foo (Bean Curd), Tau Kee (Bean Curd Stick) desserts of fungus and beans to compliment the dishes. Overall, the vegetarian food are great, dumplings are available, and they served delicious desserts too. The notable dishes are wheat grain pau - char siew or vegetarian flavor, my children favorite are the vegetarian kidney in thick black sauce. The seating or table are a bit cramped together, but the atmosphere there was NOT stuffy nor hot, thanks to the aircon and the rear (kitchen) exhaust. Also, there are more seating at the adjacent shop (aligned or same side as the hawker stall).

Laksa and Baku Tai are pretty good. Iced herbal tea very nice. Curry Mee is truly delicious. Opens at 8am.

Vegetarian restaurants in Penang abound all over the island. Regular Indian restaurants always have vegetarian options, but fully vegetarian ones normally serve Chinese food. Located directly across from the Cantonment Road Maybank in Pulau Tikus, Evergreen has made a name for itself as being one of the premier vegetarian restaurants in Penang. Plus, I've been told by many that you get a plethora of dishes to choose from ala "Economy Rice" style. There is no parking to speak off as far as this shop is concerned, as it's frontage is right on Cantonment Road. You would need to find parking in the vicinity and take a walk there, which is always quite pleasant as one can peruse the Pulau Tikus neighbourhood shops. I was greeted with an attendant handing out disposable gloves as they were following COVID SOPs, and then came the mind-boggling display of dishes available. I counted 30, but I could be wrong as there were so many others placed not just on the main counter, but on separate tables and smaller counters as well. As I wasn't dining-in, my take-away pack had started to fill up quickly due to the fact that I wanted to sample as many dishes as I could. Lining up for payment, I did some estimation of how much it would have cost - and surprisingly, it was way below what I had expected. In the pics included you could see my pack brimming with dishes - and all that was only RM8.50! The food was excellent, and personally I wouldn't mind going vegetarian if I had to survive on food of this quality. A must-try for the dishes (they have specials as well). just try to be ahead of the lunch period crowd or during the 1st and 15th day of the Chinese Lunar Calendar, as many Chinese eat vegetarian for the day during then.
