★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Today's my son's birthday. So we decided to come. Called to make a booking n was told to come within half hour, which we did. When we arrive, were told fulled. After listening to us, the manager, Paul, tried his best to get us a table for 5. But he couldn't so we need to separate into 2 tables. I was going to throw a tantrum, to be honest.. in less than 5 minutes, Paul got us a table for 5 paxs. I m very grateful to him for his effort. Will share the food experience later..

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wonderful experience. Great soups, we had three types, (but skipped the mala), all tasty, the tomato especially. The Iberico pork was lovely, as were the scallops and dumplings but the best thing was the minced shrimp in bamboo. The longer you let it boil, the more delicious the shrimp balls get. The red dates in the soups were surprisingly lovely to eat, together with the jasmine tea which was so fragrant. The complimentary plum slushy/ sorbet at the end was a perfect finish to the meal.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Feng Wang Fu offer China style steamboat. Their speciality is spicy mala soup which is very fragrant and peppery. They also have few other choices of soup base for selection such as pork bone & herbal soup. Most of the steamboat ingredients is fresh and nothing to brag about on the taste. Handmade noodles is good and must try, soft and freshly made. You can sit at the window side for a view on the Gurney’ beach. However, their price is at the high side, around RM175 for two person.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Both the Mala hotpot & the mushroom broth were flavourful. Mala hit the numb spot and provided the shiok factor. Tried it with the handmade noodles and pork slice topped with lots of spring onions. Thumbs up for the friendly service.
