★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This review is solely for the Ayam Penyet section of Food Republic in Pavilion.
There are quite a number of stalls in Food Republic; some good, some bad, and some that seriously are taking the p*ss, as they say. The Ayam Penyet stall is a prime example.
MYR8.30 for a pathetic assemblage of limp, fried tempeh and oil-drenched, cardboard-tasting fried tofu with the consistency of wet pastry. And ONE slice of cucumber - the highlight of the meal - couldn't, in all its raw goodness, wash out the bitterness of feeling short-changed by this stall.
Price inflation I can understand. This sort of price gouging for sub-standard fare doesn't say much about Food Republic's quality control.
Sort this out, guys!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ LG. Not many people yet on the weekdays. Sanitised frequently. Need to check in check out at their entrance before enter. Only double dosage vaccination are allowed to dine in and enter this place. Choices of good food from Asian cuisine till Western taste.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Spacious eateries. Lots of food choices. But I am coming here for the Yong Tau Foo. Delicious. The soup is rich with flavour, seafood broth I guess. I am crazy with this one.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good place, good food. This place is quite overwhelmed with customers when we got there. Not many seats are available and we were made to stand in line for more than 30 mins. Food selection was excellent and price was selectively affordable. Parking is a big hassle here and the fee of RM10 is quite acceptable for a whole day spot.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We ordered Pad Thai and Yong Taufu in Food Republic. They were very delicious and tasty. Although the price is quite at the high side, the ambience, service, cleanliness outweigh the price. They were several eatery places in Kuala Lumpur, but this is the place that I will visit as I feel the food is safe to eat.
